Top 5 tonight on a privateer bike! Who would’ve thought JUSTIN HILL would have got a top 5 before Adam Cianciarulo. Maybe we see JR on a factory machine soon 👀

Justin has been having a really good season. I hope he does get a factory ride. I’d say the same for everyone making the main events on a consistent basis. I wish they all had factory rides and made great money.

Justin is a great rider but I wouldn’t give him a dollar because of his work ethic. He should have TITLES!

Not slamming Justin…but had Webb & Barcia not had problems, he wouldn’t have cracked the top-5.

No slam. Your claim has a high probability of truth.

Either way it will mean fuck all in a few years when you look at the vault. All that will remain is the top 5.

It seems like he’s having fun racing for the first time in forever. Love to see it.

One of the Austrian brands should put him on the bike for the rest of sx since they have no riders

Props to the guy for running top 5 for sure!

But this always happens later in season as top factory guys get injured etc.

The chick at the pay window doesn't care how you got there.... it all pays the same.

To be able to directly benefit from Webb and Barcia's misfortune after 2 years on the couch seems pretty good from my couch

He qualified well too. It's real and the progression has been steady and significant. Martin has to be chuffed. Mitch has to be shaking his head

But Justin rode better than those 2 and didn’t fall. Technically he was the better rider. Position earned not given

I agree, if there hadn’t been a race, he would not have finished 5th.

Look, he earned 5th by riding a better race than those who crashed. When has crashing not been a part of racing?
I guess for you, Sexton deserves the title.

What is difference "Factory" bike will do to his results? Their program seems to work just fine and he could perform better on smaller team without pressure or Roger watching your every move. He has good bike and hopefully makes good money too. Riding great this season, dont get me wrong.

But they did crash and he did crack the top ten. Remember crashes count in motocross - always have. You have to be good enough and have enough skill to not crash and finish the race in order to do well in the sport. Speed Kills!

He's riding really well. Maybe him not being on a factory ride is what he needed. Factory ride equals expectations and pressure. He should stick with his program, it seems to be working.

I guess you can throw doubt at his top 5 finish and even his brother's top 10 finish but to me I think it's awesome for the Hill bros. They may not take their training as serious as others and they may not act like "professional" mx racers at times,...whatever that is supposed to mean, but to me they have the ultimate jobs as racers, freeriders and guys who just love riding dirt bikes and get paid to do it.

Hill is a fantastic talent, but there is no way in hell I d give him another factory ride.  I actually think it suits him better to be off a factory bike , less pressure etc .      Maybe you could sign him on a big bonus deal on results,  very low base .  He has such a history of as soon as he gets a big deal , that means stop training.

With this season, just making it to round 15 is an accomplishment. Dude is getting faster and looking good out there. He was keeping up with Sexton pretty decently for a couple of laps.

You can excuse your comment however you want, but I see it as being disrespectful to JuH’s ability to go fast and navigate a gnarly track WITHOUT having “problems.”  You can argue that he was not the fifth best last night, but the results tell a different story.

Not only does he have a title, but I believe he has the work ethic too. Does anybody really think JuH just pulled a fifth out of his ass in the premier SX class without having a good work ethic?Dry

ps- thank you Matt Tedder for giving us “The Hills”

I heard on the broadcast that he’s a sheriff now. Kind of reminiscent of Craig. Seems like when guys get a normal job they come back with a little more resolve.

Whatever the case, Hill’s only 27 and could easily get a couple more seasons out of his career, especially because we’re in the longevity era of the sport. Let’s hope he comes back next season.

Hill having a good work ethic is the funniest thing I've heard in years .  Some guys are just that talented they can get away with doing far less than everyone else. Ie .j  Hansen , dogger,  . If he put in the same effort as the rest of riders, he could of got 3 rd yesterday .  The guy is extremely talented.

You can debate his 5th at the flag all you like, but he ran up front, second with Sexton trying to catch and pass for over a lap. With pace, not holding him up. That was impressive. If he did have that elite level fitness, and kept that speed and intensity for 20+ he could hang.

It’s cool to see how hungry he is, and how he expects to be up front now.
