I really avoid feeding trolls, but my god. Have you ever considered the fact that its not "everyone else is a pussy", and that maybe it's just you being an asshole for no real reason?
Even if your assumption about Bryan being a paid marketer for this bike is correct, at worst he's giving us all a thorough first look at what this mystery bike is, and at best he's just a dude excited about being the first customer for a bike with new tech for the moto industry.
Go to therapy.
Relying a little late to this one
What is the 'new tech for the moto industry' the Stark is offering?
Please tell us in detail?
The day an electric bike holds the power of a 250f for a full 2 hour GNCC at race pace, is the day ill buy one, just having to twist the throttle on a dead start would be literal cheating.

Two days exceeds the statute of limitations for comments here, huh?
Edit: You know what... just saw some of your old comments. Never mind. You're on a crusade here. Have fun with your bullshit.
…it’s just boring. How many times do you wanna post the same s..t?
Is it really more annoying than reading again and again and again how the Alta was the greatest bike in the whole wide world and now it's the still undelivered Stark?
Bryan's trip is nothing more than a marketing trick to keep the buyers waiting...
The only interesting info would be why the bikes Wass likes showing on the assembly line are not in the buyers' garages. What exactly is the problem? "We want to deliver the best possible product" isn't gonna cut it forever...
I have nothing against Bryan.
He's just totally biased, as usual.
The Tony ESR 325 of the electric world...
Good thing for us we have an even keel such as yourself to stop any bias from entering the conversation.
Why do you care so much? Looks like you created an account solely to bash electrics bikes. Pretty pathetic...
If you don't like it, don't buy one.
You, Goldmember and semifreeguy are just like annoying gnats at this point
Or are they one single gnat lol? Im not very tech savvy but it could be possible.
Has this semiwhateverdude posted anything that wasn’t completely bitchy-hater “everything sucks”…?

OK, blind believer of the Faith.
Looks like you're making up things that have nothing to do with the truth.
And I'll follow your advice, I won't buy one. Anyway, if you like it and buy it, you don't get one either.
No answer to my serious question, only abuse?
Great video, Bryan. I don't have the time to watch the whole thing yet, but the snippets I saw were enlightening. I'm glad there's an engine brake adjustment, and especially glad you mentioned it felt like a 2-stroke at the beginning. Engine braking is the #1 reason why I don't ride 4-strokes.
Pit Row
Ask a serious question and maybe someone will answer you. I doubt it, but maybe.
Goldmember, semifreeguy, skull island. it’s crazy why they continue to destroy threads about Stark and electric Mx.
1. they don’t have one ordered. So deliveries etc shouldn’t matter to them.
2. they only post opinions not facts, or complete different subjects.
3. They are anti electric in general. So why even talk in a pro electric thread.
I think they could and should make an anti Stark/electric mx thread to post in for themselves and quit ruining countless other threads. The people people making the threads want electric mx, so those guys need to make their own thread to discuss why they don’t want it.
Yeah having such a wide range of adjustability in max power, traction control, engine braking, virtual flywheel, etc will allow any Stark Varg owner to tune the engine characteristic however they prefer. No longer are you stuck trying to bandaid the characteristic of a ICE engine to suit your preference with ECU reflashes, camshafts, exhaust, flywheel weights, etc. Just move a couple sliders, save the map, and go ride.
One thing to consider with engine braking on an electric bike though. Engine braking is regenerative, meaning its actually recharging the battery slightly in those moments, which also adds a tiny amount of heat to the battery. For the Stark Varg this likely won't be an issue, but it is on my Alta MXR.
Having one single bike that allows you to swing from essentially 0 engine braking (almost neutral like) to way more engine braking than anyone needs (locking up tire on pavement without brake) is awesome. It'll be interesting to see how people tune their Vargs and what the general accepted settings are for various riding styles and types.
Bryan and others have kept us up on “what’s going on with Stark Varg” for a while and I think it’s pretty cool; but, this is the interwebsthingy and sometimes angry little trolls go down to the basement and steal some time on their moms computer…
Hey Bryan, I watched your full hour review last night and it was a great video. Thanks for putting that together. It highlighted a lot of the good things about Electric in general.
I was wondering if the engine braking can be tuned together with GPS to be stronger in some sections and not in others? And I was thinking that it might be cool to ad a switch to allow a few preset engine braking settings so you could switch between them on the fly for different sections of the track. And it would only change the engine braking not other aspects of the power. Or even a button like a horn that You would hold down to increase engine braking to a higher preset while it was pushed. That way you could use it on steeper hills or places you want more , and not have so much when your going through the corner in between accelerating and braking, or on jumps when you roll off the throttle. You said they did not want you to show the app, so I assume that is why you had to ask somebody to make the changes correct? Normally You'll be able to make those changes yourself from the app correct?
That track you were riding, are gas bikes ridden there too or is it 100% electric? I was wondering how differently a track might change with electric bikes VS gas bikes?
I've heard people talk about the positive effects of the lack of the gyro effect gas engines have. But have you noticed any issues with stability or other issues that the lack of rotating mass has on the handling with either the Alta or Varg?
I love the electric concept and it can give chassis designers more freedom to improve or customize the chassis. Thanks again for putting out the content you have so far. Hopefully you can do an in-depth video about the app when you have your bike! It will be interesting to see how much adjustability they are giving you on this first generation Varg. I forgot what You said you do for work exactly, You said something with software. So your opinion on the app will be interesting to hear. And please do some sand riding to show how it is in sand. If you could do a video comparing it with the Alta and a Gas 450 that would be cool too. I'm sure you have plenty of ideas of what you want to do and I'm looking forward to seeing how the Varg works.
Like what? Social awkwardness?
I thought so too and even suggested they do that in the prior thread. Shy of that, I hoped they'd somehow grow a flake of self-awareness, notice the asshats they were making of themselves, and just fade away. But ya know, I'm not so sure about that anymore. This might be a shameless thing to admit, but I can't help but notice myself smiling when someone plays "whack a troll" with the Basket Of Ignorables. Strange but true, I'm not sure the Varg threads would be nearly as fun without them. It's sick, twisted, fun - yes - but it IS fun. And their reflexive downvotes are just so damn precious. In a post above this one, Bryan wrote of how endlessly tunable the bike's power delivery characteristics are...... and it immediately gets downvoted by the B.O.I. as if to say, "The idea of being given something I'd naturally want repulses me."
How can anyone not chuckle at that?
The marketing guy at Stark that picked the rando with 3k instagram followers to be their covert marketing operations guy should be fired.
I applaud Bryan for exploiting this electric niche.
Bryan, I watched your video...honestly, great job on it (it didn't feel like an hour long video...and that's a complement...though I did have it on during work, and got distracted a few times).
The battery life surprised me, it was better than expected (and to ride with Tortelli? Dang...I'm jealous...his Glen Helen '99 ride is one of my favorite ever.
I didn't see any footage or commentary on how many bikes are built and ready to ship? How busy was the assembly line? Is the assembly line running full out? Is there a warehouse full of completed bikes?
If you'll have your bike in about a month, they've gotta have some ready-or just about ready-to ship, right? It's a long boat ride across the ocean..then across America.
Also, are you buying direct from Stark, and they'll ship it direct to your home...or is there a dealer you're buying it through?
The bike (with phone) has location services, so location based engine maps are theoretically possible.
You'll be able to load any 5 map configurations on the bike at a time. Those maps can be switched on the fly via the map switch on the handbar while riding, up/down. So you could load the same power maps with 5 different engine braking settings and toggle between them while riding, for example.
I was asked not to show the app so thats why the phones in my videos had their screens off. Stark is finalizing the design and functionality of the initial version of the app. Stark engineers had access to each bike from their own phones so it was easiest to just have them adjust settings for me. This obviously wont be the case when we receive our bikes. Owners will be able to do this themselves via the app. If you're familiar with the Specialized app for the ebikes, the process for connecting to the Varg and modifying maps is a similar concept.
There was 1 gas bike there that spun a couple of laps, but primarily it was just Vargs. Electric bikes make smoother, less choppy ruts than gas bikes, and this is a product of the smooth power delivery electric provides.
Lack of engine inertia means the bike doesnt fight your inputs. The bike effortlessly falls into ruts and corners easily, but at the same time tracks straight and doesnt do anything funny. I feel like on my 450s when the bike steps out it really requires manhandling to get the bike true again. Not the case with electric. You put the bike where you want it to be. Its a feeling you dont realize you are fighting on your gas bike until you try electric. The "light" feeling people always comment about with electric is a feeling of less resistance to rider input on the bike. And less fighting makes you feel more confident on the bike imo.
Yeah, im a full stack software developer in the pharma industry. Some technologies are similar but some are different. ill definitely be showing the app and its functionality once im able to. Ive seen it and discussed futher functionality with the team. I'm looking forward to putting the bike and app to the test here in SoCal and providing feedback to the team and just generally being as helpful as i can.
Yah its like they just picked the first person who put money down on a Varg.
