What color should the triumph be?

That fits with a Steve McQueen Edition…especially if you can get Gulf onboard.  

Gold rims would look fantastic with the British racing green 👍

Blue.  All Mx bikes should be Blue .

As much I’d love it to be brushed steel(silver) and British racing Green.

looking at all the marketing etc so far I would bet on Grey with black and flo yellow accents.

Has the Tupperware guy been through here yet, seeing as we're all talking plastics?

I can't really get on board with the idea of black plastics, anything else is cool by me, excited to see more now I know it actually physically exists.

Whoa, where can I get those plastics? That color looks awesome. I’m assuming the front fender is painted, right? Or would that be one cutout covering the whole front part of the fender?

I think the "way different" remark was in response to a "will it be a rebadged KTM?" question. I never thought it would be a revolutionary design, but I guess it just depends on what you define as different. A Yahama is distinctively different than a Honda which is distinctively different than a KTM. I imagine the Triumph will fit into its own little niche in the MX world.

Doesn't TLD/Gas Gas already license that branding?

I thought that they were saying it was going to be a totally different bike because there were some people who had worked on the project that said they basically copied a KTM . So people were thinking it was going to be a KTM supplied chassis with slightly different bodywork . Kinda like the first year Gasgas and Husky's after KTM bought them. So when they say a totally different bike . They just mean that its their own design and they are not just putting their engine into a KTM chassis or putting out a Green/black/gray KTM.     

The Varg comes in gray ,red and white options so Stark is using grey.  the 23 Husky's have a mix of Gray , white and yellow so if they want to get away from it looking like KTM made their bike. Some of the Off road KTM's have come half gray, but all still have orange. The dark green makes more sense to me. A dark,rich metallic green would be a fitting color for the brand. And gold accents mixed with green anodizing.  If they could do all Green,black and gold , no silver or gray. That would look very unique and more like a project bike than a production bike.  Black cerakoted engine and black DLC coated hardware mixed in with some green and Gold anodizing.

I don't mind the idea of doing the bike in black. It gives the customer a lot of freedom to use whatever colors they want in their graphic design . I think the KTM's look great with the Orange frames , but they kinda limit the colors that You can use on your graphics/plastic.   If they offered a Factory edition in the dark green and the regular in black and grey that would be cool.

I'm not sure you can brand a color way if the trademarked logos are omitted.  You'd mix it up.  

I have to imagine Triumph will want it to stand out from the other bikes.  Maybe they'll keep the bikes more conventional and do it through the team gear.  But personally I don't like the idea of sliding into one of the other OEM's core colors, although GasGas has pulled it off.    The black/gold Lotus scheme is pretty cool, and I love British racing green/yellow combos, but I think those dark color plastics get ugly fast. 

The Gresini MotoGP Ducati's run a color scheme that's a distant cousin to the old Gulf Porsche, a little cooler color temp and different shades (an obviously not the classic racing stripe scheme), and it's pretty striking, and really stands out as the bikes are moving.  I wouldn't lean into these colors, or their shades and temps, but surely a designer can come up with something unique.  TLD definitely has done some different stuff on bikes over the years for one off races.

British racing green, yellow details, black frame, half black chrome, half green wheels like the old Alpina wheels.
