I know this week was just a hybrid SX track but man was he looking comfortable at the faster pace and more wide open track. And while I know the Suzuki isn’t a bad bike, I feel the outdoors will only suit the Suzuki more than in SX at this moment in time. Couple that with he’s actually had time on the bike vs the start of SX and he hasn’t mentioned any physical or health problems… I’m pretty optimistic right now!
I remember him running Eli and Chase speed last year outdoors early in the motos but would eventually fade as became routine. But he seems to be having fun and not running into the same wall mid race as he has in the past this year.
I’d love to see the 94 on a red background on the Suzuki at least once this year, it just looks so right!
I’d like to see him do well too but 30 + 2 twice in the summer heat with only one hour to recover in between is a little more to ask of your body than what SX does to you. I hope he has it in him. Time will tell.
Lets hope that he finds setup that he is comfy on. But not too comfy, 2016 was boring to watch
I 100% agree with you. I think he’s showing signs of his outdoor championship form. Plus, he looks happy, and like he’s actually having fun again! I think that might be the most dangerous part about it!

He’s adjusted to the heat just fine. Let’s hope Roczen will be up front to battle for the overall. He was once the fastest and it will make the 2023 Nationals better.
I agree, but I also think the "sicknesses" were in his head more than actual illnesses. It is awesome that he has seemingly got past that and I am super impressed with him this year. He had a few questionable interviews early when doing well, but now I think he actually believes he belongs at the front and no longer has to manufacture excuses to himself and others.
He has done relatively well the last couple of seasons outdoors after fading after half an SX season and getting lapped in multiple races. He's absolutely going to be a threat this season
Realistically, does the Suzuki turn any better than any of the other brands in this modern age?? Especially given triple clamp companies are able to price multiple offsets to test with and use in SX..
Going back to Eli's comment about bike set-up outdoors just having to be "close enough" that he can ride round it, but in SX it has to be spot on, assuming thats true for Kenny also, means that he is going to be a threat outdoors this year.
I bet he wins a overall but most likely will not be a threat for the title, but on any given Saturday he will be dangerous especially at Hangtown, Thunder Valley and Unadilla. Historically those are his best tracks.
KR has always been a threat, indoors or outdoors, but after his injuries, he never seemed to have the ability to subsist in the heat of summer.
This problem finally seems to be going away, but age is creeping up on him.
As an old Suzuki guy, I would love to see him compete for the championship. Maybe he will, and he'll probably get a win or two, but too much has to go right for him to win a championship.
Sounds like he's in a better place physically and mentally and it's paying off in later stages of races. He looks leaner now than 3 months ago. Good to see!
As someone who has ridden a lot of yellow bikes through the years, including the current chassis 450, I would say the "turning advantage" is far less of a thing now than it was in the past. At least in my fairly worthless opinion. Still a good turning machine, but not like the advantage held by some of the years of the RM chassis over other bikes.
I think he'll get an overall or two in the first third of the season, and then we'll see a bit of fading - nothing horrible, but I don't know if he has it in him to last a whole season with Tomac, Sexton, a potentially healthy Ferrandis, and Lawrence. He'll definitely be "frisky" though, which, honestly, he has been in every moto season (even last year).

yes so my comment has been made in terms that is is a very good tuning/handling bike so therefore suits SX well, rather than MX and less so in comparing to other brands or years.
I am a big Kenny fan and even more on Yellow, but Jett will win outdoors.

I would never have bet Kenny would have podiumed this far into SX. His recent history of fading now seems to be just “history” and not an expectation or excuse.
But Kenny’s performances on it outdoors, were always far better than they were indoors.
In fact, Kenny’s personal performances on any bike have been better outdoors than indoors.
If that trend continues..

Of course I'm reading them. And im not contesting them.
Im just saying that doesn't detract from the fact Kenny has traditionally, both on the RMZ & other bikes performed better outdoors.
Therefore, considering the form we've seen of him INdoors this year, we are likely to see a very strong showing from him OUTdoors in an environment he seems to perform better, on a bike he has performed exceptionally well on in the past.
I'm a Kenny fan, and a Suzuki fan, I just hope they've got their 'start first kick' game on.
Tomac will win outdoors.

I just don’t see it but I really hope I’m wrong. One of the worst robberies for MX fans was to have two all time greats in Roczen and Tomac be the same age and never once get a fully healthy season with both of them going at it for 24 motos.
