Fuck!

Demuth was my local hero growing up watching him transform into the champion he became at the local tracks here in North Texas. This one stings. Rest in peace, Josh.

The article that link goes to seems oddly AI written.

pretty sure it was written by AI, i've seen a lot of strange news articles on niche topics, typically with a writter that appears to be from India, that has odd details and structures - im convinced they arent written by an actual person

What asshole downvotes a comment reminiscing about and wishing peace for somebody who passed away?

What a bummer . I never knew him. But I remember seeing him at some NESC races and maybe riding at a pit when he was there. And then hearing about his loss of his leg from an infection similar to the type of infection I had , showed me how lucky I had  gotten.

Bummer  to hear of somebody still so young, passing away however it happened. I hope they release the cause of death. Depending on what it was, it may help shine a light on something and help others avoid the same fate. Or help dispute rumors that I'm sure will be popping up and be worse than what really happened.  People can imagine some wild stuff when they are not given the information on something. I feel for his family and kids. It's hard losing a parent at any age, but as young as Josh was it must have been a surprise and shock.

We went out clubbing after a race and he was there with Leticia in what must have been one of their early rendezvous. They were hot and heavy and they didn't stay very long. She was literally straddling him while he carried her out to a taxi. Josh had some good times. RIP

He lapped me in an arenacross once and cleaned me out. Never even saw it coming he was so fast at that shit. We laughed about it in the pits. He was super nice every time I saw him.

Such sad news. I'm gutted for his family.

Davi Millsaps was the fastest dude to ever circle Riverglade,

However the coolest MF’er to race the was The Sheriff.

i was star-struck but we exchanged pleasantries. “thanks for coming.....”.

loved his riding style and he was 😎 exponentially.

The moto world lost another great guy. I had the pleasure of spinning some wrenches for Josh early in his career. He was quite a character with a HUGE heart. His spirit and kindness will be missed by many. God speed my friend.

I was thinking of you when I heard this news today.

Sad day, we lost a great rider.  Josh was always fast, smooth, and fun to watch.  This pro moto at Village Creek was a good one.  Jimmy was stalking Josh almost the whole moto as they pulled away from the pack.  Rest in peace Josh you will be missed.

So I’ve been biting my tongue because I hate to be the guy that knows a guy but, all the speculation shit is just too ridiculous. All I’ll say besides the fact that Josh was a solid dude is, he had a medical complication from an injury suffered over the weekend. Lay all the bullshit to rest now and maybe just share a memory of him or keep it simple with a “ride in peace”. Great dude gone too soon.

The thumbs down can often be used to express displeasure or unhappiness with information, not necessarily a negative sentiment about what a poster has specifically said. It could also have just been an accident. Don’t read into things, especially on the internet.

I was at High Point 97 for the mud race. He caught my eye running pretty high up in the 125 class. Fast forward 5 years and I drove the shogun truck a couple of times before they found a full time driver. He was always nice and polite to be around. God Speed brother and RIP.
