To your point.

How many times nest week? More than 30 or less than 5?

I tried not to pick and I'm no stickler for perfect anything but gentlemen please find a new phrase to get you to the next point  other than ...........to your point.

There are many ways to carry a point or get to the meat of a conversation. Phrases like, as you said, like Fred said, as James was saying, as Daniel  just referred to, recall as Ricky just said......blah blah blah.

To your point was said at leaset 40 times last week. It's getting worse each week to the very point it has become  distracting. Please someone suggest to the team to read this and or suggest that they make a simple yet very constructive change. This isn't something to be tweeted or aimed at anyone as an insult. I want our guys to sound the best.

This is constructive advice from one of us to our guys! Compared to most others we are the insiders in a great sport that is working to bust out a little bit.

Thanks DocRickB

To your point, I have to admit that I also noticed its extreme overuse on the Daytona broadcast.

Take a shot every time RC says “incredible.”

Totally agree.

I watched the F1 race in Bahrain this past weekend.  It was refreshing that they have a great announcing team that's truly the pinnacle of motorsports broadcasting. This method of broadcasting, where they know their fans know the sport enough to not tell the audience why tires are round, would be a refreshing change in US Supercross and Motocoss.  Paul Malin announces this way as well.  Its refreshing.

Back in the pits earlier today, to your point, “blank” was saying he felt a little uncomfortable and typically gets nervous but this time he wasn’t so nervous or uncomfortable so he must have been able to overcome those feelings. Daniel?

David coulthard killed it. And i love how their analyst was a mid pack guy whos just a good analyst (jollyon on f1tv) . They didnt go for the goat at the expensive of announcing talent.

It's been so frequent lately they even roped Stew into saying it at Daytona... Crazy.

I get it, you can hear each other.

This is more the British/Europe way, its the same in premier league soccer. If you don't understand the sport the announcer don't care and doesn't dumb it down for you either.

If I had a $1 for every time Ricky talks about how he prefers to be in 2nd place, and to hang back for a bit, so he can watch and learn...etc.

And not that it was repetitive, but more cringe worthy was Ricky saying, "hold on to it big boy..." when RJ was leading the 450 Heat 2.

I get irritated with certain things like this on the broadcast. Just to check myself, I watched both the IndyCar and NASCAR races on Sunday.  I was not irritated with either, and the contrast in the broadcasting was stark.  Everything was better.

I am a big premier league fan. Whether you are a soccer fan or not, it is the pinnacle of the sport and they manage it that way. I'm sure this contributes to my disdain for the Supercross broadcast. I often watch both in the same day. It just increases my frustration and disappoint levels to turn on Supercross after watching a premier league game.

You realize that Leigh and Bubba do different jobs, right?

100%.

The SkySports F1 team - which provides much of the world feed - is so very good.

The show is so incredibly scripted. Notice Screech follows RC everytime? I mean just change it up sometime. Let the guys in the booth call the race on the track. The story about who you were talking with can wait on between action.

I’ve noticed a lot of “hate to see it” lately as well.

Ricky constantly says, “He’s a very intuitive rider.”  Multiple times every broadcast.

If they just called the race and did nothing else, literally every one of these problems would just disappear.

Yeah that was hard to listen too.  That is just simply fantastic motorcycle riders talking who are and always will be amateur speakers…..

He's been riding well.

Will?

I spoke with the team earlier, and..

Here we are racing at ____ , we caught up with Justin Coopah earlier to ask him about what he likes about coming back to ____.

This track is cool, the fans are cool, and I just get good vibes here.

Wow, incredible.
