I really hope Geerts get this MX2 title. Even with him being such a heavy favourite for it I'm still not sure if going to the MXGP class would've been a better decision
He has to win IMO. It would be quite a let down if he doesn’t. A Belgian winning a world title would be a return to normal as well.
Any News on where Isak Gifting might end up? Has he find something? Or had something already when Hitachi closed? All MX fans in Sweden are very curious..

A healthy Herlings is going to be hard to beat, but I’m thinking Febvre is the guy to challenge him this year. His broken femur took a lot out of him last season, but I feel he will be strong.
For some reason, I feel Tim’s break wasn’t as bad as Roman’s?
Prado, Seewer will keep things interesting, excited for the season to start!

Will be interesting to see if Prado still struggles with his physical form this year.
Herlings, Sexton and Tomac are the best overall riders on the planet. Period. So, if healthy I don't see how Jefferey doesn't win this title. Really bummed about Gajser. Stinks for him and the sport.
I will say though after going to the past MXON I could make a case for Seewer. He was flat out one of the fastest guys all weekend at Red Budd and really had the will to win at all costs. Seeing him in person all weekend in the pits chatting with him and his speed on the track really impressed me and so many others. He was so pissed finishing second after a heck of a ride and busted his ass in the mud in one of his motos it was mind-blowing. HE WAS BULLSHIT. Such a Great competitor. He's one of the great guys in the sport and would be overjoyed if he could win a much-deserved title. Hell, if he had a better first half of last season, he very well would have won the title.
Also, after seeing Geerts at Red Budd I'd be stunned if he doesn't win MX2. Hopefully Adamo can move to a contender.

Herlings had a 'character' day at Hawkstone today , Coldenhoff was on it Febvre took a win too, Brent Van Doninck was goos and was on Coldenhoff for most of the last race.
Herlings had an issue off the gate in race one, and took a while get going in the other 2, he looked like a man taking zero risks.
Watching the race in person such as you did I got the vibe on Saturday the AMA riders were the fastest. Sunday in the mud I felt like team USA did what was needed to win and didn't push like the other teams did. Coopers second moto was amazing, especially on the back half.
I had TiGa and Renaux as the top contenders for the title with Herlings leading until he missed a handful of races. With TiGa out, I’m betting on Renaux with Seewer right behind.
I agree with that. Tomac and Sexton are at the highest level. Ferrandis and Marv and a few others looked good. I wish Gajser was there. I was not Justin Cooper fan before the MXON, but I have to give him his do. He was flat insane both days and made all the fans very proud. I was still impressed with all the MXGP guys. I wish we could get USGP back at a venue where it would be supported and help promote the whole sport like the Carlsbad GP did.
We’ll have to see what Prado brings this year, last year it seemed you never really saw him going forward. He would get his traditional good start then stay up there or get shuffled back. If he starts mid pack it’s rare to see him moving forward. Hope to see Vlaandren get another win and Bogers do well on the Honda. Herlings will be back to full speed at some point and hopefully he stays out of the ambulance. Looking forward to another good year!
It's going to be a great weekend of racing, with LaCapelle Marival and an international at Lierop! I'm especially keen for that.

I want to go watch a GP, preferably a deep sand track…. Which one is best ?

My favorite question! If you want deep sand, then Lommel is truly the only option. You would fly to Amsterdam – that's easy.
The only downside is that the viewing is not great (it is a flat field). That is the only real negative that I can think of, honestly...
It's not deep down, but I'd recommend Kegums (Latvia) for something a little bit different.
Interesting question I have about him. Renaux was the underdog in 2021 and won the MX2 title.
Renaux was then the underdog in MXGP last year – no real expectations – and he did very well.
This is the first time that he has entered a season with big expectations and a lot of eyes on him. How will he handle that?

That Lierop weekend was the first international race that I went to! I'd love for MXGP to go back there. Magical place.
I think Renaux is going to be the 2023 champ.
2020 he stepped his game up big time getting a win and 5 podiums, establishing him as a legit contender.
2021 he wins the title, and you can say what you want about Vialle getting hurt, but Maxime had a hell of a year. Even after Tom was back to full strength, they battled almost every race, proving that Renaux took another step forward.
2022 absolutely shattered everyones expectations. He had some sketchy rookie moments, but 8 podiums and a win stacks up against anybodys 1st year on 450.
Then there was Red Bud where he STAMPED his name in the history books as someone who beat pretty much every single “great” rider of our era on the worlds biggest stage.
I just don’t see how he doesn’t make a run for the title this year with that trajectory, especially with the state of his major competitors.
I don't agree with the spectate aspect. It is one of the best circuits to be. Great track, very nice to walk through the woods. Great atmosphere. And if the races are like at the MXDn the all the better. ;-)
I think this year consistency will be key. Injuries will play a vital role. Herlings will miss some GP's surely.
Maybe it is Seewer this year. Or maybe Renaux. Or probably someone I am forgetting.

This season can become a 2021 copy No doubt. Gajser Will be back in Arco. Might not go for the title but he can for sure mix up races!
I think the Yamaha boys need to come out firing and build points/momentum whilst Herlings is building, then stay consistent.
Is there going to be livestream for the Lierop race anywhere?
I would like to watch that track for nostalgia sake.
