I don't agree with someone in the booth saying the guy in 2nd should get out of the way

Yes, but donuts
Maybe they shoulda talked to him before he got the mic, but you can’t go into the booth and call people sketchy and say they have bad technique on live TV
Why not? Might hurt there feelings?
I think Jett did bad commentating but I absolutely do think you can go into the booth and call people sketchy and stuff. I wish the commentators didn't shy away from going harder. Paul Malin in MXGP is much better about it

Nate is sketchy.
Two real hard crosses on Hunter tells the story.
Is Jett sketchy too? He did the same thing last year on a way bigger jump
Boy, you sure have a hard on for Jett. Why so angry? He shoot you down?
Maybe they should have known not to put a teenager in the booth in a race where his brother competes. Probably forgot that Supercross fans are pretty soft and quick to whine about everything
When watching other sports and seeing them interview athletes who have no public speaking skills or training, I've often thought it was cruel. I felt the same way last night listening to Ricky and Jett. Public speaking is not their thing, and listening to them try it out before an international broadcast is going to be embarrassing. Of course they sounded rough, how many high school English classes have either been to? Jett sounded like what he is, and so did Ricky, nice enough person but way out of their element and kind of a hillbilly. Nothing wrong with a lack of sophistication, just don't put folks like that in a position where diction, pronunciation, and syntax matter to others.
Really like Jett . He has amazing skill on a bike . very fun personality. He was terrible in the box . Not his fault . Just the idiot who thought it would be good idea
AC was available. He should have been in the booth. Keep Jett out, nothing good will come from it. These riders have east vrs west shootouts and paybacks suck.
Funny how when he cross jumped on Forkner last year and put him out for most of the season it was just a racing incident. But when Thrasher did the same he’s a dumb idiot that’s dirty for cross jumping.
Entirely different situations.
Same situation
Thrashers was actually following the racing line going towards the inside of the right handed after that table. He was taking the same line many were. Jett crossed forkner over a finish line jump without the same excuse so Jett’s is actually worse.
I thought he DID apologise for the Forkner cross jump?
I also thought he did fine in the box, he's young but good enough to offer an opinion on anybody else's riding skills or technique. For sure we all offer more than our own experience levels opinion here in public, so why can't he?
How many people post that Ricky should tell it like it is, and then suddenly Jet shouldn't? It s only ever going to be either of their opinions, so why not?
Why do people keep mentioning this when Jett himself said he was wrong when he seen a different angle and called his brother an idiot? it wasn't a cross jump, he made a mistake and shot him right. thrasher wasn't in the wrong, he just made a mistake. Hunter was trying to force a pass and put himself in that situation. Jett said that on air straight after.
I thought Jett was great. He was so excited he gave a little play-by-play. He's comfortable as a speaker, if not polished. He needs lessons from AC.
Pit Row
Should never have an active competitor commenting on individuals they soon will compete against. This has always went bad.
Because later after he acknowledged his stupid take, he doubled down and said that Nate was sketchy (not exact verbiage but said something to that effect) when he said people were runni gup front that shouldn't be and didn't have the skill.
I don’t get why people are upset about this instead of being entertained?!
Get as many current riders to shoot their mouth off about the competition as possible and enjoy the fallout in my opinion.
I thought he was terrible in the booth. I would have probably been worse at his age.
Hopefully he's back in the booth at Daytona.
There is always something happening with Jett.
Haha yeah he was pretty bad.
I'm a pretty big Jett fan being Aussie bit I'll never white knight him...I was just waiting for him to say something pitchfork worthy and when the he did I just thought "ahhh shit here we go" lol...then I thought back to the youtube interviews with Dazzy saying when he opens his mouth he has no filter
Same people that leave RC in there and he is terrible. No surprise. Jett is definitely great, but I think they are overplaying it.
Sound like your the one thinking about hard ons and Jett. Weirdo he’s like 18.
Jett hit a tough block & pushed him over. That was an accident & the kid felt terrible. Nate ran Hunter off the track 3 times in the last 2 races.
He could have talked about a conversation he had with a team manager from 2 weeks ago. Seems to work for one of the team members they have on the broadcast every weekend.
Imagine you're 19 years old and you watch your brother race and in the live situation it appeared that he got intentionally crossjumped. Do you react in any other way? You're full of BS if you would say you would've handled it better in that situation.
With that said, should he have been in the booth commentating his brothers and team mates race? No. A stupid idea to put him there by the people in charge.
Boom! Absolutely agree!
