That kid has a lot of potential and raw speed. Very cool to hear he landed on a factory backed team with a lot of resources. Go get em' JB.

Anybody know if this deal goes amateur to pro? KTM is pretty well known for not having a good transition for their amateurs to pro (at least in the states). Hopefully juju can change that narrative.

Wonder if it’s an amateur deal or an amateur to Pro deal. With those twins coming from over sea in 24-25 I figured ktm would be full.

I don't know the details of the Beaumer deal, but Eric Sorby was hired to work at the Baker's Factory. Aldon and the KTM Group are setting up an amateur program. Sorby is working with those guys, and he's currently training Chase Lawton, Jack Pullen, Chase Eglentowicz, and Landon Gibson.

So it looks like KTM will be investing in bringing up their own talent for the future.

They'll be full for a while.

I watched Gibson ride in person for the first time last weekend at an AQ. It was impressive to say the least. I’ve had the fortune to ride with a lot of fast kids(Levi kitchen,Avery long,  Gavin Towers, and more) and he is the most impressive I’ve seen at that age by a long shot.

This kid is the son of one of my customers. He's been really fast, but overshadowed a little bit by the bigger-name guys. He's had great speed, but some bad luck with getting caught up in crashes and bike troubles; hopefully this move will eliminate some of that. Good luck, Julien!

He has incredible bike control. Even though he's not a big dude he moves it around like a bicycle.

DV, clearly you know; give me a French lesson: wouldn't that be if his name was spelled "Beaumier?"

As-is, his name is Beaumer. Wouldn't that be "Bo-mare?" The reason I ask is that I may have been calling his dad by the wrong pronunciation for a long time. Blush

...And does it mean "beautiful sea?"

Bo-mare works, yes.

If it was Beaumier, Bo-Me-Ay

"Beautiful Sea" is a good guess but Beau is masculine (the feminine way is Belle) and Mer is feminine so Beautiful Sea is "Belle Mer". Same pronunciation as Belle Mer is "Belle Mère" which means Mother in Law... This french masculine/feminine french stuff is super confusing and there's no rule. A car is feminine. A truck is masculine. A motorcycle is feminine. A bicycle is masculine. Stupid... haha

Thanks so much! I'm going to have to practice the right way of saying this last name. Grinning

We are getting a little off topic but 1 thing that irritates me is.

Some ppl insist in saying a-chair-biz coz that's how they pronounce it. And that's fine.

Then they go an say beta like bay-ta. Then insist it's correct coz that's how beta is pronounced.

No no no. It's beeta coz that's how they pronounce it.

Beta is "Bayta" in Italian, not Beeta.

He speaks some French but he is way more comfortable in English. His mom is American.

His dad Lilian is from Evreux.
