Just watched the video on racer x and #29 Julien Baeumer looks unreal. Like he been on a sx track for 10 years. I’ve known for a while the kid can fly but god damn he looks aggressive and flowing like a seasoned vet….. 😮 https://youtu.be/OCvpU91mdFQ

What a time! Dude on top has no support and he has quite a few behind him with factory support

Disclaimer: I had no clue who Beaumer was...

From the moment that I got to the track yesterday, there was constant Beaumer hype though. Turns out that it was justified!

Has Beaumer heard of MotoGP Champion Fabio Quattraporte? *Steve voice

No Support? Pretty sure he had Yamaha blasted on his jersey. Sure he’s not getting the support Star amateurs get. But let’s not act like he’s out there with no support to speak of.

Not the NSA or the Star support like the guys behind him.

Pretty sure. Probably necessary to differentiate him from all the other Yamahas.

Did you even bother to read before replying? I said he’s not getting star support. Let’s not act like he’s out there privateering it.

No factory support = privateer.

He's from Havasu. French dad. Trained by Yannig Kervella who basically trained Shimoda his all career til last season after SX. Saw Julien ride in Pala. Very impressive. He won't stay without support much longer

Seems like Lilian changed lots of things up during the last few weeks.

They probably got tired of EBR Yamaha shenanigans and decided to pay for a twisted engine and Enzo suspensions.

I saw Juju with Millsaps and not with Yannig. But Lilian sent Juju to Masterpool and Reynard in the past for a few weeks to change it up so who knows.

He’s been riding great, he tried out at star early December for 2 days. Idk what happened with that really.

I think you’re over simplifying it. Does having a rig full of parts,  technicians, and food to return to throughout the day not help?  Anyone can buy equipment. Even if he got a bike or two, it would be a big jump from that to a program like star or NSA.

For all we know he could be on anything from the standard blu cru rebate, some parts allowance, a double contingency program, or some combo thereof. But I’m pretty sure Yamaha (and most OEM’s actually) isn’t just handing out bikes to up coming A riders. His former teammate at EBR was on a 2019 bike last year when he scored top 20’s as a privateer in his pro debut. That guy was still riding the 2019 because he couldn’t get a deal on a new bike.

All three guys on the podium seem like awesome personalities, especially Casey.

Shout out to no17 Cole Davies - kiwi kid finishing just off the podium and in front of the golden child Deegan!! Our sx scene over here is non existent, hopefully someone important took notice! Awesome ride, think he’s only 15 also. Pumped to see him do so well.

Bennick got the skills. Going to be good in due time.  Deegans riding is very Barcia esque, lots of body English that others don’t seem to need.

Wild race for sure!

https://www.motopivot.com/results/series/sx/seasons/2023-supercross/rac…

Feel bad for Beaumer, kid had the speed all day, mechanical failures suck.

I thought for sure Cochran would over deliver, that kids a racer.

Bennick shows maturity and rides a near flawless race for a well deserved win. He looked solid out there.

Deegan had the speed, but you can't crash like that and expect a result.

What a great race!  All the riders did an amazing job.  One of the best races all night.

Preston Boespflug sure made it hard on Deegan. I’d love to have been in the pits to hear the the camps “talking it out.” The cross jumping and wild riding to keep Deegan from passing was pretty wild!  Not sure how much the tv covered it but watching those 2 go at it at the race was crazy.

I wish the Futures was a West/East coast series so we could see these guys race more.

Nobodys talking about Talon Hawkins but he had a pretty good showing as well. Lead most of the race and finished 3rd I believe. He raced a couple outdoors last year and didnt have very good results so its good to see that hes seemingly getting better. Definitely a kid to watch though!

Im really happy that they show these on tv. Wayyyy better to watch more racing vs more down time, great decision!

I don’t think they showed Preston at all on tv, which is a bummer because I really wanted to see how his style translates to supercross.

Beaumer was the one who looked like he could run top 5 in the 250 class right now.  Looked so fluid and smooth.  Was really attacking the track and not just riding it.

Bennick and degan looked good as well, but didn't have the same ease to their riding.  Sucked his bars weren't tight enough.

I'd never even heard of beaumer, 🤷‍♀️. Mitch should give him a call...

All of those kids looked amazing. That was a real bummer about Julian’s bars. Daxton has a body and style for Supercross for sure. It’s too bad that Deegan had those issues. That’s part of the sport. Anybody that wants to pile on him for that is full of shit. It would’ve been nice if all three of these young studs got out front early and had no issues. That would’ve been a pretty cool race.
