For me , this underlines the meaninglessness of East and West. 

Would be interesting to look at how many riders get hurt 'getting ready for East' against actually racing West.

Didn't expect him to last a full season given last year but still expected him to line up. What can Mitch really do? This also made me think of Marchbanks, why did he let him go? Seems Marchbanks had a lingering PC curse on him too with his Addison's Disease diagnosis a couple of years ago. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if we ended the season with no regular PC riders. McAdoo has been known to crash his brains out and Shimoda needs to get back to his 2021 form rather than those weird moments and crashes we saw last year.

It is possible that the way that Pro Circuit pays the riders ("the try harder when they have to EARN the money") makes them push too hard.
