Nice video of Suzuki’s current airplanes.

All the while, they actively out traded allied fighters until late 44, when the spitfire became widespread.

Don't underestimate the old horse Wink

Suzuki’s “current” airplanes, lol.

I mean Maverick did beat those modern jets with his old F-14. Smile

Just like the Alta, misunderstood and before its time. Sometimes the old is just better.

Would like to see a sortie with these bad boys.

You’ve got a point. The ‘87 CR250 was way ahead of its time, and could be raced competitively for years after.

I’m not sure we can say that a 2018 RMz450 is better than any of the current ‘23 bikes (for pro racing). Plus it has remain virtually unchanged or updated within the last 5 years (‘23 coming up).

You could argue “Heck, what difference does 5 years make?”

And some may say “It’s not the bike. It’s the rider.”

I think that 99% of people can't ride the current Suzuki to its fullest. No reason to go for better stuff, if you do not know what to do with it. Biggest issue they have for the "pros" is the weight and electric start, but factory is factory after all. If he is more comfortable on the base then any other brand, there is only up to go, not down.

But would the injuries that Mumford and Hartranft have had because of bike issues scare you/Ken out of the deal?

Comparing apples to oranges here. Mumford and Hartranft both got seriously injured because their bike shit out before a jump.

Is this 100% confirmed that engine failure caused both crashes?  If yes, that's a bummer.  But, there would be no colors on the gate at all...

Didn't Dungey's bike quit this year while he was running up front?  All colors shit the bed at any given time.

I think Hartranfts bike quit and Mumford's bike cut out.

Pretty sure it was a factory bike. Atleast engine and suspension. Check out videos of him testing and building the bike. Freak mechanicals can happen to any bike though.

The lack of development of the Suzuki probably matters most to buyers and least to pro’s because the bits they can’t change in the US are pretty good - frame and cases. The frame was ahead of its time. Its just a bit portly.

Extra weight is bound to be a new kickstarter design...maybe thicker graphic material...or maybe...

Hopefully he doesn’t decide to go backwards.  I wish him the best, but going to a outdated bike could potentially be it for him..

Fortunately for the pro's, they can address this with just spending a little $$$.

They switched back to spring forks from SFF Air. Aside from that change, the newer gen was a couple pounds lighter than the 2017.

Yeah, it’ll still be a factory bike, but the other factory bikes are already starting off 15 pounds lighter and more powerful and more development.

Either way, I hope it works out for him, but…

Idk man. As much as I’m enjoying it and all the speculation coming with it, I’m ready to see what he’s riding. I’m not sure I can handle much more of the trolling Laughing

Which bike does that silencer fit?  And yes, Ken should try to keep everything confidential and troll all the way to A1 and make his announcement there.
