Apparently I am the only one that puts my handlebars directly over the screw used to adjust my fork compression. Because the screw is directly under my handlebar, I can’t really adjust my suspension unless I take my bar off. Is there a tool I can buy that will solve this problem? I bought the race tech one, but because the top of the Showa fork isn’t flat, it won’t work. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! I’m surprised they don’t incorporate a finger adjuster into the design of their fork so this is a non-issue.

I checked with Race Tech about this exact issue and was told the tool was "in design." That was like 2 years ago.

I also spoke to various suspension companies about this at both the Mini O's and LL and they looked at me like I was asking how to calculate a moon landing.

Apparently 99.9% of the people out there are fine with putting a screwdriver in at an angle and/or removing their bars to adjust clickers on the newer forks with raised air bleed ports.

Bizarre. With all these modification companies out there that do much more complicated things, it’s kind of amazing this doesn’t exist! I’m pretty sure I couldn’t turn my screw putting it in an angle very well if at all.

The race tech tool works best as long as you don’t have air forks with a raised air valve. I used one of these before buying the race tech tool but it’s still not easy to adjust. Takes some patience to do more than a couple clicks.

Used this same tool to adjust clickers on the PSF-2 air Forks on my 15 Honda. Don't miss it! Still a pain but easier than fitting a long normal screwdriver in there.

I have that race tech tool and it doesn’t work because the top of the fork isn’t flat. Maybe that ride engineering tool is worth trying.

Sliding the forks down in the clamps is way easier than pulling the bars. But honestly I just stick the screwdriver in at an angle.

I used to have the same problem when I ran the bars over center, I used the race tech tool. I could barely even hook up the air pump for the forks especially with oversize bars really annoying. So on my new bike I just left them back not dealing with it anymore.

Lots of people clearly aren't up to speed on the new generation Showa forks.

None of the items people have listed will work, except the right angle screwdriver --- but even that really won't work unless you have high bar mounts.

As stated several times already, the top of the new generation forks is NOT FLAT so all the previous tools, etc won't work.

My next step is ordering a set of these and seeing if I can modify the flat bit to fit.

Keep me posted. My 19 kawi is a bitch with this issue.

I don't get how they can spend so much money on designing these and then you can't even get at them to adjust them

Good thing he doesn't have a KTM, then he'd have to spend a lot more than $200 to buy Cone Valves... Laughing

Finally someone that knows what they are doing and talking about when it comes to this dilemmna! Shame on Honda for not engineering this a little better. Especially since they went so far as to give us the forward bar mount options and not having to buy more clams for hundreds of dollars more as well. Also, most people run a set of air bleeders as well (I do). So, let's keep that in mind once the best tool is determined. A 200$ pair of new fork caps definitely isn't the solution. There's gotta be a simple fix....looks like you're on to it. I need o check the 10mm dimension. That seems just a little tight. But, like you say, ''with a little modification''. thx
