The crash may look violent from the pic but it doesn't do it justice for how fast they were going. I still remember that split second before when Langston looked over and moved right into him....coooold blooded for sure.

I'm being serious, I don't recall, but I thought it was mid-air or something like that...

Track was cut into a wheat field, had some of the most amazing “natural features” that you could imagine.
Bobby was railing that whole track so hard, EVERYBODY was cheering him on.
Pros that year included Ty Davis, Russell Pearson, Destry, Kurt, and Nathan woods. Local pros were Lance Smail, Rory Sullivan.
As you watch this quick video, you can see all of the natural elevation features, but you also can constantly see blips of the pits, which means the viewing of a lap is great.

Pit Row
Bonds says he was tired and doing whatever it took to win the moto.
“You mess with the bull, you get the horn?”
When the heat, adrenaline and stakes are high, you can’t throw out the anchor, block and swerve and not expect retaliation. Racing 101. Bonds was in way over his head at that moment of the race.
I have met and been around both of them. They are both cool in my book. Obviously Grant did him dirty, but I don’t think he is proud of it. Racing at that level is something most will never know what it’s like. But I’d imagine Bobby was probably pissing him off, not getting out of the way for Grant and he retaliated out of frustration. Easy to see it was a bad choice, but Grant is good people and it doesn’t change my opinion on him one bit.
Haven’t seen Bobby in a few years and I didn’t even bother him when we went riding at the track he was running. But I watched him race amateurs and into his pro career, he had something special.
Ended up doing really well in the OffRoad works too, but I’d guess there wasn’t much money to be made there.
