I headed to the track couple of days back to ride my new 2023 CRF250R. I almost get to the track and realized I forgot my boots still in the garage.

Have to turn around and head back to the house and get my boots. I made up for it, I took two pair on the way back. Lucky the track I went to is only about 30 minutes away but still a pain in the ass.

What have you forgot!!!

I forgot my boots more than once, but one time I found some flogged out in the bin at the track a size above. Worked perfect for the day then back in the same bin end of the day.
Forgot helmet and drove to shop near by and bought the cheapest helmet. Used it once and it’s packed away.

Forgot my fuel one time, unloaded the bike and started getting ready and then checked how much fuel was in the bike then realised I was missing the drum... Bike was near on empty too. Bloke parked near me noticed and without asking walked over with some fuel for me. Topped the tank off so I could ride for the day! I was so stoked

I did but I forgot what it was :-) I fortunately haven't but a friend did forget his boots at the track when we left.

I have a dream most nights where I get to the start gate and have no helmet on and can’t start my bike!

Got to the track a few months ago and had a flat tyre, realised my spare rear wheel was still in the garage so a quick wheel change became a sweaty unnecessarily long tube change on the floor 😄

Not as such, but using an old long bed single cab Ranger lately while our van is laid up has meant I can't take my tool box (two kit bags and some crap fills the cab on their own while we're riding, can't trust people round here not to help themselves or steal the box outright). Just taking a handful of spanners and a couple screwdrivers stresses me out...

I'm never keen on not having a legit assortment of tools on hand, and I hate to go on the blag for tools from folks in the pits, although I know most people are cool and wouldn't mind if it came to it.

Forgot my air filter cage once. Cleaned the filter at home and was going to dry/oil it at the track the night before riding, luckily a friend only 20 minutes away had one.

I had a buddy forget a helmet but as we pulled in we saw a Bell from like 1999 sitting in a dump pile. Full of spider webs and missing foam. He ran it the whole day.

I forgot my seat once! Did my filter & thought, I will just put the seat on when I get to the track…. it was just a practice track, rode without it for the afternoon….I used to forget stuff all the time until I got a van for Moto… My van has spare everything, gear, parts, tools… I will always have a van for Moto 👍

Happens at lead 1 out 4 rides.

Thankfully, the track is little over 10min up the freeway from the house 😎

I was pretty drunk packing for Thanksgiving at Glamis one year, got there with about a dozen t shirts, one pair of jeans and a toothbrush. No socks, no underwear, thankfully I had my gear bag sorted out. Rode 4 days, no socks, freeballing the whole time. Same pants every night, on the way home nobody wanted to be anywhere near me..

I’ve forgotten my boots once as well but luckily the track owner had an extra pair that fit lol. I also did the same thing you did, left my helmet, and said fuck it and bought a cheapo from the track shop

If I wasn’t so dang old and still racing I’d have a Van and keep all my shit and then some in it.

The more I think about it. I keep my trailer I haul my scooters on in a storage about 25 minutes from my house. Headed to the storage the afternoon before going to the track and forgot my keys to the lock on the storage unit, had to drive back home. Probably not the first time.

Met this chick, she rode so for a date she wanted to go riding. Loaded our bikes in my truck the night before so we could leave early in the morning. Drove the 100 miles to the desert.

I forgot the key to the lock securing our bikes in the back of my truck, and back to San Diego we went.

I was super pissed.

She thought it was cute.

That was 34 years ago, at least she married me.

Forgot my socks and was wearing flip flops in the truck. Rode a couple of motos with no socks. Honestly, not a huge deal on the track but really sucked when I got back to the truck.

Only my seat one time, so embarrassing.......and for the record not many people carry a spare KTM seat in the parts box! 🤣

And another time forgot to take the rag out of the airbox before putting the filter on, took me ages to figure that out.

Racing tomorrow so hope I don't forget anything

As an adult in the business world, I live by checklists. I started using them when racing while young because I have the kind of brain that doesn’t remember things. So I make my list, do what it says, check things off.

It’s the only way to not be a space cadet for me.

Got halfway to the track and stopped to get gas for my truck and bike. Realized I had forgotten my money clip. Didn’t have enough gas in my truck to get back home. Thankfully my buddy was 15 min behind and stopped to borrow me some cash.
