Research isn't on top of his list of priorities.
Drinking Kool-Aid is.
What do you mean 220V to 110V? Do mean the max power output of your home to charge a car? I don’t know the situation in the States, but in Germany every household has cables thick enough to put enough power through to charge at least two cars.
Regarding the smog: Volcanic eruptions can have a cooling effect on the climate through the insane amounts of dust thrown into the atmosphere, but the smog in cities is nothing compared to that. Even if that could be one positive thing about smog, it would mean nothing on the global scale. I‘d love to have a look at the articles from the 80s. Maybe I underestimate the effect.
You have zero idea what you're talking about and it's so evident it hurts. You half witted rednecks are something else.

I drive a diesel truck, and don't have a green agenda, but I can be objective.
Electric is all about Lithium/China..... this is not about being eco-friendly... not about efficiency.... this is about mountains of $$$$$ going to China...

Proud of your country for many reasons and you've just given me another. I knew Germany had shut down all of the nuclear reactors but didn't know what you just shared. Keep up the good work.
The person in question has been littering the boards with falsehoods and pompous, arrogant ignorance for the last few days. I think it's ok to call them on it.
If so, quite a few honestly. You can get battery systems for your house and an entire solar array wrapped into your mortgage these days. It's certainly not the norm at this point, but it's becoming less cost prohibitive and far more accessible. To say that EVs are going to overwhelm the grid due to charging is just simply boogey man syndrome for people that are uninformed.
Post a reply to: ICE future fuel availability, ICE vs electric, US power grid issues, etc,
