Camera work is good, they were able to keep up with most/all the important battles. They pretty much got a big player tip overs and crashes. Awesome production as always.

Also for me, I prefer their timing and scoring overlay over the AMA series. I dislike how much of the screen/track it covers up. I like the bottom bar, simple, just showing gap times behind the leader.

…and no split screens used. Thank you.

We were able to focus on the leaders and their races.

Good production job!

Great coverage, production, commentary, no split screens AND limited use of the drone. Hopefully, DC, Bondo or whoever can look at the overall production differences objectively and make some changes for next year.

I wish they would have had a better shot of the leap.

Really? I remember watching a bunch of lappers, crew was lost a few times. They even missed Renaux finish line shot in the 3rd moto... But I agree, when they missed stuff on the live coverage, they did a good job finding the shot and replaying it

You mean Lisa Leyland who just ask the questions? You would rather have Will Christian rambling on like she has inside information.

I think most people who watch MXGP religiously realise she isn’t very good. She basically asks the same question every time regardless of who she is talking to, and it’s normally just very generic and not very insightful. She first did MXGP back in 09/10 I think as well so she has no excuse for not being better at it

Is she told to ask those questions though? Like you say after that amount of time in the job she's got to know all the gossip and the riders/teams personally

I agree the coverage was good and their platform seems very stable also. I am fine paying $150 a year or $300 if you add SX to it (since MXGP is only outdoor), but the pitchforks would be raised high here if that was announced. The early bird pass for next season is $115 US currently. You get what you pay for folks.

To be fair she's pretty good at cleaning bathrooms.

Not necessarily their fault, but the 3rd moto gate dropped happened while CBS Sports broadcast was in commercial.

The only pass/ battle they missed that i thought was obvious was Jett going for 3rd in the last moto, other than that the AMA crew could definitely learn some things

I do like the box on the side of AMA that has all the rider positions and gaps, I wish it was smaller, but wasn’t a huge fan of the scrolling one at the bottom

Agree with everything except the timing and scoring. I don't mind it at the bottom, but show more than 5 riders or make it move more quickly. Felt like it took forever to wrap back around to 1st.

All in all amazing job though!!

I feel like a continuous scrolling race order along the bottom would be the way to go

Camera work is great, it's the politics that sucks.

I think it shows that the production was made for the webcast and not network tv

It’s much better than we get out of the USA sx and mx

Production good except the final podium coverage. I preferred Weege's view/coverage from his show.

I like that MXGP-TV is commercial-free.
Tried MavTV for the first time this year and I almost pulled my hair off when they showed commercials during the races!🤬 "Hey, that's the giveaway bike!"😂 But I liked the box with the riders' positions.
One thing I don't like with mxgp-tv is that they are lazy with wiping off the lenses during rain...

Pre-race interviews i don't watch anyway so i don't have an opinion on that. But those quick 'interviews' in the pit during the races are awfull. I don't think i ever got some info from that segment that added much.

Imo it would be much better if during the races she would focus on getting info on why certain riders are out of the race. Often the guys outside of top 5 will just be missing from the timing (without any footage to show what happend) and you have no idea if he crashed or has a tecnical issue.

Let her get info like that and share it in stead of asking Dirk Gruebel halfway through the race that Vialle is in 2nd and does Dirk expect him to get in 1st.

Agreed. Those pit interviews are awful and always the same.

"Your rider is battling/in the mix for ..., how does he feel?"
- "Yes, at the moment he is feeling really strong and we hope he can continue like this."

End of interview.

Just ask why/how someone pulled out, or stuff like that. Or just skip the interviews during a race completely, that would be even better.

She is doing a good job during the Studio Show on Saturday, though.

If you're ever in a position to talk her, try it.... she will turn her back on you. Will not even say "Hi". I tried a number of times, as I was at a number of MXGP races as VIP guest...with some special people... years ago.

I know, I’ve seen this happen first hand too.

Way to generalize while getting the facts wrong since Lisa Leyland joined in 2014. Respect your opinion but I think she does a good job.

No, she wasn't. This is her second "stint" in MXGP. Amy Dargan took over when Leyland left.

She first did it in 2009/10. Then left for a few years and now this is her second go at it.
