Holy crap I can’t believe…
No way that’s ever going to… oh damn.
Dafuq were they thinking on that one…
I’m now supposed to do… Dafuq is that… Dafuq is this…
Okay, that’s it. I’m going back to living underneath my rock.
It's unfortunately very common in any motorsport I've been involved with, albeit those are all distant from off-road, so it's sad but not surprising that it's the same in those areas which are usually more family / community driven.
It does make you appreciate the stand up guys who have these talents and storied careers and stay true to their sport and fans and don't pull shit like this even more though, like RC despite some dicey-sounding SX announcing sometimes (which personally doesn't bother me, just gives me a cheap laugh that even the greats are only human.)

Would you rather buy Nike's and give LeBron James and the Commies money or buy Speed Energy shoes and give a fellow motorsport guy and the Commies money?
That's all anybody needs to know about current events right now, seeing as you're fully briefed, we'll see you next year. Lol
Once upon a time (2018) he was trying to sell his side by side design to Hisun Motors, a Chinese company with a Texas headquarters. It never materialized for reasons unbeknownst to me, but basically he’s had no hesitation trying to partner with these manufacturers for quite some time.
Yes, in 1969 Japan was not building a competition dirt model... yet. But they were already very successful in road racing with a show of technical force that was leaving other manufacturers scrambling for protection in the rulebooks. In the showroom, Honda had released the CB750 -- the most refined and technologically-advanced street motorcycle ever-- and Yamaha dual sport bikes had already redefined that market segment.
And this was all less than a decade after the thrifty-nifty Honda 50's first appearance on US soil (which itself, kicked outdated and unreliable European small-bore motorcycles nearly out of the market and ignited the bike boom).
Chinese bikes, by contrast, have been here for nearly 30 years now, and they are still broadly just cheaper photocopies of other manufacturer's design, with near zero participation in any level or category of professional racing.
