Not sure if he’s tight with DC or Bud, but he must be tight with one of them that he was able to get involved in the negotiations. Seemed Mitch had it under control and then we all lose out because of this guy. Would love to get Mitch’s unfiltered opinion of how things are being ran, seemed he’s on board with many of us that have been saying the promoters have been screwing the riders for a long time and it’s about time they finally threw some more money in the kitty

Myron already held the contract with MX Sports for the 12th National in 2022 before the Glen Helen discussion began. If Glen Helen was to return to the schedule for the 2022 season, it would've required the event to be run through 2X Promotions / Myron Short. Bud Feldkamp isn't able to hold a contract with MX Sports any longer.
Thanks for kinda clearing that up. So if he had a contract for the 12th national why did we end at Pala? Did he promote the season final?

Romor has it, Myron wanted money for something GH could do themselves.GH held their ground and didn't work with someone who has his own interests in mind. JMO

Hmmm, seems that this onion has layers we haven't seen yet. Why is Bud not able to have a contract with MXSports? Sounds like there was a "will" to have a national at GH but a different promoter was required and Miron tried to strong arm Bud. I say "sounds" like because I can only guess at this point.

Yes, Myron / 2X Promotions is the entity that puts on the Fox Raceway National. The first one of the season and the second one. That’s why he already held the contract for the 12th round. My understanding is MX Sports was open to Glen Helen coming back but only if GH was promoted by Myron with his existing contract. They couldn’t do a contract with Glen Helen or Bud directly due to that round already being contracted to 2X Promotions. On top of that, I don’t think MX Sports would do anything with Bud directly anymore. There would have to be a middle man at this point.

So when is 2X’s contract with MX Sports going to end? Glen Helen is ten times the track that Pala is.

The Nationals are dropping down to eleven rounds next year. So there will only be one Fox Raceway National, instead of two.

Again, due to conflict and prior issues Glen Helen and MX Sports have had…I don’t think you’ll see it happening anytime soon.

So are the Martins, Ritchie’s, etc considered promoters? I was just assuming MXSports was the promoter and the tracks paid a fee to have the race at their facility in exchange for monies earned through gate fees. Learn something new every day!

So assuming since he already had the contract and he could have it at either track it was just that Bud wanted a bunch more money than Pala so it wasn’t worth going there?

Myron puts on the road to mammoth and mammoth. He is a good guy. I have been off a bike for a while now but he used to ride, not sure if he still does.

Thanks for some background. I haven't read MXA in years...what does Jody say about the situation? I think he pretty much lives at GH.

Miron the Moran?
Probably not a moron and likely smarter than the average MXer.

Myron is a secular Jewish name originating from Meir.

There is a strong small hat presence in sports promotion: Feld, Feldkamp Myron et al.

Carry on.

Anyone who ran to the government and tattled on others for violating Covid mandates is not a “good guy.”

"Where does the name Adolf come from?

The name is a compound derived from the Old High German Athalwolf (or Hadulf), a composition of athal, or adal, meaning "noble" (or had(u)-, meaning "battle, combat"), and wolf.

He also worked for XTRM back around 2008-2009 and ran what was left of the AMA supermoto series into the grave. The teams drove to Texas for the final round and the race Myron was involved in did not have permits and when teams showed up to the location Myron was nowhere to be found and nobody knew at the location even knew a race was supposed to happen that weekend. He also cancelled a race that was supposed to happen in the Mammoth area in the last minute. Just saying a few things about his background. Sounds like he is about the money and the rest does not really matter.
Not like all the altruistic people involved in the sport.

Honestly this sport is embarrassing at times to be associated with, when you see the way adults behave. Glen Helen obviously is a very successful track, having most weekends filled with events, with many participants and attendees. It is also one of the best MX tracks in America if not the world. That DC can't find a way to settle differences in the interest of furthering the sport's credibility and affluence on the stage of premier sports is absolutely astonishing. Every person involved in the sport knows Glen Helen is the place to hold the national in southern California, grown men need to bite the bullet and put it there. Good grief.

The thing with settling differences is that it takes two to tango. Doesn’t matter what DC does if Bud isn’t willing to play ball, and vice versa.

Mate, as a Jewish American, I can tell you that when someone says you’re acting like a Jew they don’t mean it as a compliment.

I didn’t call the guy a name or go overboard, I simply told him he is getting close to the line.
