Sorry guys, just trying to recognize they had a problem and now it's fixed. So much to be positive about with moto right now and most of the people bitching in this thread only watch pirate streams on YouTube anyway.

These threads crack me up. It's always the end users fault. The end user has crap hardware, or crap software, or crap internet, or they are just a dumbass.

It's a video stream. It's 2022. Press play. It should work on any device the vendor says they support.

You want to watch the 1975 Carlsbad GP, press play. It's magic.

yeah I was tough on MaVTV early on and Flo after but man its been good for me tbh and I am in Canada with rural slow ass internet.

Yeah history may show I have crush on Davey Smile but cant argue with the last several broadcasts. Been wicked good for me. In fact todays show from Ironman were up way faster than I thought and delivered!

I went to Flo App on AppleTV 4K connected to Ethernet because the WiFi streaming was worse that previous years. Didn’t want to but definitely worth it. Been flawless since. Or connect a laptop/PC same way. Even the SmartTV Flo app is a dumb “go stream” banner. Just so much better to hardwire to Ethernet and connect via HDMI.

My Android TV device is 4k HDMI connected (Nvidia shield). No Proper FloTV app for platform, must use the garbage phone casting feature even though I am on a high end mass-market media box that is listed on the "supported platforms" for Flo.

I am on a gigabit fiber connection.

I respectfully disagree. I have 4 firesticks from the Gen1 to the 4k Max and all in between plus a Firecube all configured about the same and I just recommissioned my 2-year-old NVidia Shield after finding out you can pair a firestick remote to it, and after pulling it out of my network ecosystem a few moths ago to dick with Alexa.

I have personally confirmed after doing many speed tests within the last 24 hours without a doubt that NVidia / Android is faster and more responsive than the top of the line Firestick or more robust FireCube. This is not surprising since with 16GB of space vs 5 and a gig of RAM vs I think 500MB and much faster processor and the numerous YouTube vids I've seen doing the same challenge. Not to mention the fact amazon has made it harder to find developer options in the last update to discourage sideloading (press play button 5 times and it shows back up) and you have to use a funky 3rd party mini-usb adapter if you want to hardwire a Firestick to the Internet.

the only benefit to Fire is it works with the Alexa ecosystem well - specifically the ability to control your TV with Alexa but so does NVidia / Android if you know how to make Alexa routines or understand how to program IFTTT macros (IF ThisThenThat).

AppleTV is cute and works well with AppleHome but is still lacking the routines and 'macros" you can program into a Fire or Android, not to mention the power and bandwidth thruput. Also, nothing compares to being able to sideload apps of your choice and watch early-release movies and PPV events for free.

For what it's worth between 3 households I pay for Sling, HBOmax, Prime, Netflix, Paramount and Flo, plus a digital antenna to get Local News and Channels. I could easily get rid of everything except Sling and still not miss anything but it would be hard for the 2 other people I share my accts with to find Yellowstone, The Offer, 1894 or Alone and one or 2 other shows that are out there just not intuitive to find. btw BeeTV is the App of the month right now and streams all of the above the same hour Paramount, Prime, or History does freeeeeeeeee

/Alexa! Post my comment

The commercial breaks do suck. I have paid for many years now but won't do it next year if the commercials will be part of the program during the race for paid viewers.

What was up with the random Buick ads in the motors this week? The streams have been good but still annoying they have commercials (esp on the replays) when we haven’t had them for the last 4-5 years at least.

Back to peacock next year. Hope its commercial free like before but i have doubts.

It’s great, until you try to watch the “full replay.” One touch of fast forward on the remote and you go from gate drop to 2 mins to go.

I still can not get replays to work (Full Replay | Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at Ironman Raceway 8/27/22 or 450 moto 2 which is what I missed) for some reason.
And I can not find on youtube. WTH am I doing wrong??
Anybody have a link for 450 moto 2 ironman please.

Cutting to commercial on a pay platform with 3 minutes to go in one of the last motos of a great and very close battle was beyond ridiculous. As much as they get right, they always find a way to screw the pooch.

I just wrote the season off for the most part. I watched the races that were on Peacock and hopefully they will all be there next season, otherwise I will do other things like I did this season…

you missed the part where they dinged everyones CC's for a years worth of payments up front and people then having hard time getting that refunded. so what were you saying about 20 threads with promo codes? i mean there was tons of threads about the pricing screw ups and everyone fighting with them to get refunded....not my fault you didn't see them all....

No doubt the streaming issues were a major issue most of the season, but the last two weeks have been flawless on Flo. Great quality and we had Stew along with the best racing/story lines in probably 20 years.

In addition, those of you who signed up for Flo can also watch the MTB World Champs this weekend as part of your subscription. Nice Bonus!

Realllyyyy?

I had a horrible time with the Mav app like most people, but Flo has been pretty much just fine for me. Yea, the quality still isn't HD, commercials suck, but for me at least it's been reliable, and I can rewind live TV. Good placeholder after the mav disaster but I'm still glad it's going back to Peacock, just wish you could rewind live TV there.

Yeah ability to rewind live and start an in progress race from the beginning are really nice features on Flo

Commercial free during the motos is a bigger ask outdoors. What sport do you watch where there’s 35 or more minutes uninterrupted?

It was at least implied by ML that the "network" deal that this would not be on flo next year.
Time to pause and see what's up for next year

I don’t watch F1, they air those races with no commercial breaks??
As far as the NBC/Peacock thing in previous years, obviously that didn’t work or they would still be there. SX is easier to air uninterrupted its 2/3 of the length of a MX race.

I just don’t think having a commercial break is a huge deal. Of course I’d rather watch uninterrupted but that’s a minor complaint. Timing of the commercials however, some have been unforgivable.

They do on espn no less. About 2-3 hours of uninterrupted coverage. Obviously the insane amount of money in f1 pays for this. So it’s not apples/apples.

Also I don’t watch a ton of soccer but I think premiere league and champions league run uninterrupted for each 45 min half.

It’s back to Peacock from the sounds of thing. Don’t think we’ll see much on ‘network’ tv.

Every soccer match. 45 min halves uninterrupted on hundreds of major networks globally.

I see that from Soggy above. That seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
