Wonder why that is...
Trust me when I say this, legit Jitz training is every bit as hard as motocross, your entire body is spent after a training session.
He won a title, so he had success in one aspect of his life, while the rest of his life burned to the ground, is that really achievement?
They’re dudes in here that bust their ass 40-60 hours a week, raise kids and find time to ride, that’s a much bigger achievement than some west coast title.
Just apprecciate him for what he is and enjoy the time he had on top, nothing is going to change that.
He's like James Hunt, one and done and you dont see people shitting on Hunt's carreer choices, would i like to see Jlaw ride again? yes. Do i expect him to win a title again, no. Maybe it would be nice to see him out there like Hanny and Bereman style of free ride.
And he didn’t just walk after that. He raced for another couple of years , and never won another race ,
One of the biggest wasted talents the sport has ever seen ,
people that throw away opportunity would do it in any other aspect of their life too. At least he achieved something awesome before throwing it away.
Ironically it was on the gate by the stock car track, which used to have the nighttime SX track on the infield. This was the site where one year JLaw famously pulled off mid moto and went to skim the whoops a few times before rejoining the moto.
Arguably one of the strangest moments in moto history.
