Jeez this whole thing is terrible looking for Yamaha, after all the good work getting rid of the “blue pig” image maybe they should be referred to as the “Blue Snakes “ from now on. One other question is if this Deegan kid is so good why does he need a full blown factory bike to beat a load of less talented kids on stock bikes.

Maybe not but I reckon the dampers are are worth more than a complete stock bike never mind the motor. The whole thing certainly looks like Yamaha has took the amateur out of Amateur racing.

It's somewhat telling that there has been no Press Release from Yamaha Corporation yet? We NEED to hear from Donnie Luce !!! If he threatened the Canadian Yamaha dealeship, Yamaha already fired him. Japanese companies don't put up with that type of behavior and the dealer could probably sue. Yamaha doesn't care about that bike. 2023 motorcycles are built, they are tooling for 2024 and probably riding 2025 YZ's.

Yeah I was a bit hmmmnn on on that whole situation. The Canada dealer is kinda in a rock and a hard place situation whatever happened. One side you’ve got your rider the other you’ve got your supplier so no offence but I’d be ignoring you calls too haha

What is Star Yamaha doing in this gap, chilling? No way. They’re on the horn, coordinating engine package payoffs and ultimatums to make sure they don’t loose that bike….how could they not be involved?

Cotter? Way out of line for his role on paper

DC? Uninvolved but doing damage control. Not worth crucifying him for this one IMO…. We just shouldn’t expect transparency.

I agree that DC isn't directly involved but it is something that should be considered serious and detrimental to the legitimacy of amateur racing. He's seeming to cover it up instead of seeing heads roll!

Anyone involved should be at least temporarily banned from Loretta's. That Luce guy, Cotter, Degans, Walker should all be banned for a year or two. But it will be covered up or brushed off.

Took his bikes back that sucks. To teach him and mainly us that no one can mess with our program . To make it more weird .I,m surprised the parties involved didn’t try to claim Brennen,s bike. It all makes everyone feel like crap. There’s certain riders that can get away with certain things but your not 1 of them. So you can’t.

DC is on the phone with his sister and she's smart enough to tell him to say as little as possible. Eventually the house that's on fire will burn itself out, at least that's what they are hoping.

It doesnt matter if the engine builder put the money up. So why lie about it then? If you're willing to lie about this, then it's only fair to question how the meeting with Donnie Luce and Matt Walker went down.

The kid never should have dropped the claim. But he did. And now everyone is asking him why. You dont think there is any realm of possibility that he could be trying to save a little face by embellishing his version a bit?

If the truth was, "this was a stunt that me and my engine builder came up with, I thought it would be cool to do some YouTube videos on the bike, but boy was I not expecting the drama that it caused at the races, and my main sponsor did not want to be associated with it so I dropped the claim" then how are we all shitting on MXSports or Star right now?

Now do I think that the kid's balls shrunk and that is why the claim was dropped? Not at this stage, no I dont. But prior to asking a few questions, it had crossed my mind.

Im just not one to rush to judgement in these situations. Be it a rape accusation or mini race drama. 99% of the time it's never cut and dry in either case.

From the onset, one side of this argument has appeared to be completely innocent and following the rule book to the letter. Am I missing anything that Brennan and his camp did wrong?

The other camp has behaved and responded like they are guilty as fuck of doing something wrong.

If the latter camp had done nothing wrong, just follow the rules and be done with it. Maybe turn it into a positive publicity situation. This very much could have turned into a positive for the latter camp had they handled it differently.

By far, hands down its not any crime or violation in this situation that is worthy of all the negative publicity, it's the cover up.

Cant wait to see the PR bullshit that will be coming from Cotter, Walker, and Luce. They dont have a leg to stand on to the matter of coercion. They’ll say they didnt yell and scream, thats a lie and you cant say it isnt. And even if they didnt the whole circle the wagon meeting and shit talking at a moderate level is coercion.

Great take by Grant and Ping as well. Love to see the latest from them with the Harris videos.

This is about to get swept under the rug unless people stand up.

Matt walker sucks the teet of Deegan. As far as social standings go.. you want to be on deegans good side or Brennan. Matt walker chose Deegan and zero loyalty to Brennan

I don’t think walker sided with the OEM specifically. Just coincidence both riders ride Yamaha. If Deegan was riding a Honda and done this.. Walker would have done the exact same thing and we’d be asking why walker is siding with Honda

IMO there’s something major going on right now between the “guilty” parties. It’s no coincidence that ALL of them haven’t said a word. Deegan took his live video down. Haiden hasn’t said a word. Walker.. silent. It’s been a week now and the noise is loud. I guarantee they are all getting on the same page with the same lie for a big press release. If you go to these people social media accounts they are getting actually crushed with negative comments. The Silence from them means a lot. Either they are guilt as fuck and hoping it blows over. Or they are guilty as fuck and waiting for a big cooperation to issue an official lie (PR)

They brought an attorney in to the meeting when Brennan took the claim back (Ping and DL video). What a crock of shit that is. You coerce, intimidate and threaten this kid, his father and his sponsors then bring in an attorney to the meeting when you have beat him into submission to record his recant! What a crock of crap!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt that anything this attorney would say is admissible, he is a minor and was clearly taken advantage of by Yamaha, MXsports and Star racing. Take that 18k and use it to sue these ?@!$*#$'s and get what you deserve Brennan.

I am appalled DC, what the hell!!!!

You really got a problem with the Deegans just to start a account on here today and bash them . I still don’t think they did anything wrong in this. If you watch the engine builder video sounds like Matt walker and the Yamaha rep are the ones really at fault here . Everyone is out to bash the Deegans but if I was him I would do that same my kid is racing for a championship and has one moto left and the kid he had a run in with southwick is now claiming his bike I would want to ask that kid a couple question myself and im sure every parent would. The ones I’m really pissed off about and think in the wrong is Matt Walker , Yamah Rep and the dealer that went after the kid and the dad and still took the kids bike away after the kid pulled the claim

Wow.. this amateur B class issue has really gotten out of hand needlessly. Brennan was well within his right to make the claim, regardless of his motives, and the rule is there for a very good reason. I wouldn't bag on Yamaha Corp just yet just because some people associated with them mishandled this so badly. If Yamaha Corp allows Brennan's bikes to be taken away, then Yamaha deserves some backlash. If this indeed happened, then he probably has a court case he could pursue and be awarded damages that would be a bigger headache for the parties involved.

STAR, Yamaha, the Deegans could defuse the issue so easily. Brennan stated that he just wanted to see what it was like to ride a factory/ top level bike. Things would probably have gone very different if they offered Brennan a chance to ride the bike for 20 min and perhaps also offered to sell the bike to him at the end of the season. They could still make the offer if they wanted to calm this sh@t storm they created.

You can want to ask all you want, but you have no right to ask... The kid got screwed.

I have to say, you've come pretty close to riding the Deegan's nuts on this one. What is your tie to Yamaha?
