I would take almost any uncorroborated denial there with a grain of salt because distancing from that form of interference is very self serving.
My point is do you think ml512 doing a interview with donnie is going to be different than what he said to steve? Probably not. So then we can all assume because ML didnt get the scoop we wanted hes paid by Yamaha too lmao. People are reporting on this shit but when it comes out that its not what you want to hear everyone throws the "they are paid by so and so" or "they are too involved with the riders". Most guys report what they are told during an interview what fucking more do you want? You cant just do the interview and then go at the end well hes lying because its not what i believe but heres what he said. I feel steve has been neutral in this and has said brennan should have the bike. Unless there is audio or texts to prove what was said its just he says she says circle jerk.

Its interesting. Luce (aka Yamaha) claims in no way did he threaten to pull Yamaha bikes from the dealership, but miraculously he was right there sitting by Walker at the time who was supposedly texting the dealership. Then 5 minutes later, the dealership pulls Brennan's dad out to talk to him, then Brennan's dad goes in and pulls the plug on the claim. Then the dealership pulls sponsorship for Brennan. Luce could have stepped up and smoothed the situation over, but clearly he wasn't doing that. Its obvious which side he was on.

Inaction is still an action. Its blatantly clear Luce had involvement in this situation and just him claiming he didn't threaten the dealer to withhold bikes doesn't hold a lot of water.

Lets see if any of these people are willing to show phone and text records. Never happen, but would likely get to the bottom of it.

Matthes should ask Luce to see his phone text messages and call records, same for Walker's. If they are innocent and have nothing to hide, why not show it to Matthes? They don't have to show it to anyone else publicly, just Matthes.

The fastest and easiest way for Luce or Walker to absolve themselves and restore their name would be to prove it via phone records, assuming that exists.

Mike Burkeen is the ama official. Super nice guy.

His son Matt was pretty good amateur and been racing 250 2 stroke at the last few outdoors. Even went over the finish line side by side with Sexton on Saturday mimicking his celebration. Was pretty funny.

Just because Luce didn’t talk to any dealers doesn’t mean someone else from Yamaha didn’t. So he might not be lying by saying, “he didn’t”.

Unless it’s a printout from their service provider (which isn’t going to happen), that doesn’t hold much weight.
Texts and call records are easy to delete from your phone.

I am a Honda guy but even I dont agree with the Yamaha ban thing...not just at you by the way, anyone who says it.

Yes, Yamaha have a lot to answer for, but lets not say we will not ride/buy their bikes just because of this shit show.

Yeah. From the sounds of it Star brought Deegan a factory or close to factory engine and they REALLLY didn’t want to see it fall into the hands of someone else so they did whatever it took to ensure it wouldn’t.

All I’m going to say is hopefully in the future the factory’s don’t bring out a bike they’re not actually willing to lose for the price of a claim

From everything I’ve read, it seems this kid is and has gotten the short end of the stick. Did not know much about the Claim rule until now. In my opinion, this rule should have warnings all over it stating that if you do go forward with a Claim, plan to be fucked in all ways that matter to your future in motocross. The big fish always gets the smaller ones…

Very interested in how these guys are going to try and defend the slime ballery that went on. Sad to see a sport so captured in bullshit it can’t even enforce its own rules correctly anymore. Brian asking the kid if he was trying to somehow damage/defame the Deegan YouTube channel is beyond hilarious. People expecting Matthes to be 100% objective here can dream on, he’s about as objective as CNN on any topic in moto. He is literally mouthing off about BluCru any chance he can get. There is no way Brennan will ever get the actual bike he claimed and so even if star eventually changes their stance, the factory motor that was obviously trying to be hidden will always be hidden, and Star can say “better late than never” and wink to the cameras. Morgantown doing things the Washington way…

You left out the fact that Star admits to the bike being outside the spirit of the rules.

But other than that, nice synopsis.

Oh, and based on the engine builder interview, I feel pretty vindicated. Glad I didnt rush to judgement. Derek stated his account doesnt match Brennan’s. And if Derek can come out of this feeling alright about Cotter and Deegan, there’s quite a few here that look pretty stupid.

And it aint over yet. I expect the Matt Walker interview to be interesting.

Oh, and based on the engine builder interview, I feel pretty vindicated. Glad I didnt rush to judgement. Derek stated his account doesnt match Brennan’s. And if Derek can come out of this feeling alright about Cotter and Deegan, there’s quite a few here that look pretty stupid.

He most certainly backed every important detail we have heard
1. Tim cotter and BD took him into a room for much longer than DC stated.
2. Tim cotter acted as he was a head ama official
3. Donnie was being a bitch and wouldn’t shake his hand and was right in the middle of it while walker was texting Yamaha
4. Walker flipped out on him in front of the kid threatening an ass whooping that most kids would not react to well
5. His sponsors were being talked to by Donnie and walker and cotter and that most of what Brennan said is spot on and that he’s a great kid.
