Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
It would’ve turned it into corporate driven cheesy garbage series. Same as F1 and MotoGP. First it’s about the circus and their ‘Save the whatever lefty issue thats in Vogue’ bullshit, second comes the actual racing. Team owners become Celebrities and riders/drivers need to cough up money for pay rides.
I like our sport still accessible to the core people. Not the rich and powerful swanning around on track/grid walks. .
It was my initial thought as to why this hasnt happened before now.

The WSX prime movers got their chops 30 years ago when they made a similar move on a languishing road course 'outdoors' car racing series in Australia, re branded and revitalised it and had it valued and sold in the hundred of millions within a few years.
An FIA World Championship has serious cachet and while WSX will rely on known stars initially they will develop their riders, their brand, their supporters and business value world wide if their broadcast arm is only as effective as MXGP-TV.
This just announced, obviously cobbled together US championship appendix reheat is a lot more about questions than answers at the moment and could end up doing the outdoors side of the sport more harm than good.
MegaCross is better!
And hell yeah we're lucky to have them here and watch them kick ass...just as we are to have Shimoda, Ferrandis, Roczen, Reed, Musquin, Lopes, Langston, Fonseca, JMB, Tyla, Townley, Pourcel, Swanny, Byrne and countless others over the years. It's not about one series owning another, it's about opportunity and choice. Most of those listed gave up nearly everything to come here and pursue their dreams. I have huge respect for that. Holding a rider's choice of where to go make a living against the organizations that make it possible in the first place seems a bit misguided. Ask "your" Lawrence bros if they are excited about the new changes.
We tout were the best, were the best.. but never fucking leave home and prove it in other locations.
(Nor has a promoter done it, and don't give me those bullshit canada rounds the fim tried to stick on)

I hope he's saying to himself, "holy shit I'm getting out of this just in the nick of time".
Presently the name riders are AMA/Feld allied. That will change because WSX are looking up the track years ahead.
WSX teams will bring on and develop riders for their series who have no MXGP or AMA connection.
