Not sure what the issue is… I race on Sundays, come home & the Nationals are recorded on my DvR.. I then fall asleep watching them…and rewatch the rest of the week…. At this stage in my life, if they get recorded… great….. if not.. I don’t t give a shit anymore….amazingly, they have all been recorded on my cable company DvR setup….

After watching the video-

1. Davey is not up on today's video landscape
2. Davey really should have asked someone who does have a clue, for help
3. It does NOT take three 18 wheelers and 70+ people to video a national (LOL)
4. Davey is a busy dude, I get it, but he should ask for help
5. Using random guys to run the cameras, and different guys for different rounds, is Unacceptable

The proper answer, not the answer that will put the most money in Davey's pocket is- Live, Free coverage on YouTube done by Davey's own video team... that is the best "tv package" (and cheapest!) for the long term, overall health of motocross, and that's what we all really want.... that can be done with one truck and a dozen people.. Davey can still sell his own ads for this....

any other package, is less than optimal in today's phone/tablet addicted society...

In theory I agree with you, but this is an incredibly ignorant and uneducated evaluation on how easy it can be done.

It may come as a surprise to some, but not all households in 'Merica have high speed internet! Let that sink in...

I am one of those households. My online presence is accomplished via laptop and bluetooth thru my S21 Ultra. Not ideal, for sure, but it is what it is, at this time. (no cable in my area either)

With the above statements ringing in my ear, I could not give a shit about streaming anything, anywhere or anyhow. Who in the hell wants to watch (stream) anything for more than a few seconds on a teeny tiny device? Give me a 75 inch TV, 4K and MAVTV on DirecTV. It sure does beat the programming we were fed during the 70's, 80's and for the most part the 90's. Print was king during this time and the delay was massive. Sure the TV production has issues. But it sure beats the wait for print to come out with the write up! I am extremely happy with the MavTV/DirecTV aspect of viewing, considering what it used to be, practically nonexistent.

For those of you that want to stream on your various devices, I get it. I almost feel envious, due to the fact that I cant stream from my phone to my TV. But that is my issue, not the masses. Give it time, get the bugs worked out and then stream on. Rome was not built in a day, yanno!

I think DC is doing his best with what he has to work with. Sure it will get better. It has to, otherwise the pitch forks will have flames on them next time...

Oh, and Davey, Just a FYI, Let 250 2T's race with 250 4T's in Pro competition. This needs to happen.

This rant has been brought to you by an old, broken down motocrosser that still has 10 bikes...

I can't quite get the people that say the nationals are dying, they have to turn away riders as they are getting to many ffs,

for the guys on here, would you rather have 90 plus turning up to ride, or a good streaming package and 16 bikes like the GP's??

A good streaming package and 20 good riders on the gate is enough. Works for SX...

Seriously, you could have removed 25 riders from last week's races, and about 30sec in you would not notice the difference. So 90 means nothing if 10 of the 40 almost get double lapped. If you are 5 sec off per lap, get out 😄

Watching mxgp Indonesia made me even more convinced lappers are just in the way, that's what they add. Took 3 turns of MX2 Race in Indonesia to forget there was under 10 good racers there. Would have been better with 15, but did not make any major difference for how the racing went.

If you where dropped 1 lap into that race, you could barely tell a difference. So 90 or 20, no difference for the racing on screen.

I’d just like to say that I appreciate DC and crew thinking of us fans outside of the US and trying to make sure we can all access the racing. Obviously VPNs can be a huge help when things are locked geographically but can also be quite annoying as they can limit your internet speed and are overall just a nuisance.

I appreciate those trying to give us all an explanation into what happened, I really do, but for me personally it is too little too late. This season has been a disaster, and the fact that we still can't watch an entire moto in 1080p without some sort of commercial interruption to me is ridiculous. So, I am done for this season. I wish all the riders well in their championships, and hope that MXSports can get this figured out on an affordable, stable platform for next year, but I fear the damage is already done. I am a longtime fan (since the 70's) of outdoor MX, and I am stepping away, I can't imagine how many of the casual fans were lost.

Watching this "interview", I am thinking, For a planed interview, you couldn't find a place to do it that wasn't the cab of your truck. With the phone overheating, do you not have air conditioning?. Bro, step it up, looks like what we would get from Mavtv. Whistling

Have my DVR set for all 4 motos, F1 sprint race, and stage 8 of the tour de France.
(Took less than 2 minutes, 'bout wore me out🤣)

Have a few errands in the morning, a few hrs of work.
Then home to catch southwick, and easily FF until I see the 30sec board.
Then F1, then the tour stage.

All on my television at my convenience.
Life's not near as tragic as some of you make it out to be.

I planned on being home for this but the meeting I was in before this ran twice as long as it should have, so I didn’t have much options. I only work around 65-70 hours week so plenty of time to squeeze these in…

I just got in, I haven't read all of this nor have the time to. I signed up for MavTvPlus on May 27th. I have been charged from the get go, with the last time being Monday June 27th, less than a week ago. Question, am I good to go for tomorrow? Or did I just give MavTv a going away present?

Why do they show the track map after the race has already started? Kinda get the jist of it being that we are already watching the racing. Doesnt make sense to show it unless it prior to the start of the race.

What did I do? Haha! ML was at a meeting previously scheduled before the DC interview. Said meeting went over an hour longer than expected which put him in the position of doing it from his van. He chose to do no a.c. so the noise wouldn't pick up on the mic

As usual you sound like an idiot.

Hey DC how many people does it take to produce and film a National? Uh about 70.

Random imbecile online: should take about 12 by my count.

Bingo....

...or the onboard GoPro hot lap.

STOP putting this (and all the other content) on DURING actual racing!! Commercials are bad enough....all the other content is just ridiculous during the race.

My biggest frustration has been the time it takes to get replays up. West coast races the replays wouldn't be up until around midnight here on the east coast. East coast has been around 11ish recently. I can't watch the races live, but usually inside and relaxing by 8 and am ready to watch some MX, only to be left disappointed...

After reading gt80rider’s post-

1. You’re a clueless jackass.

2. See #1.

3. You have no idea how much effort it takes to produce a live broadcast.

4. You sound entitled and delusional.

5. See #1 again.

6. You don’t even ride, bro.

I personally feel that DC has a golden opportunity to change this sport for the better on a massive scale. We have so much unlocked potential, and it honestly needs to be looked at from a different angle. It’s time to make legitimate changes for the better.

Thanks ML for the interview with DC.

The Flosports app streamed all 3 Redbud motos live with zero issues last week. Mucho gracias to DC for working with Lucas and MavTV to make it happen on Flo racing.

Despite the fact that I bitched and moaned as much as anyone trying to watch the races up to Mt Morris, it sucks that people lost their jobs.

“My 14 year old daughter knows more about streaming than I do.” -DC

This is unacceptable. Supercross and AMA motocross’ failure to innovate will be the death of these two championships.

If you want a tv deal, get a tv deal. But offer me a streaming package that is not interrupted by ads. I’m willing to pay for it because I am a fan of this sport.

You need to take care of your die hard fans before old geezers who still have cable TV. Also, how are we suppose to cater to the next generation of fans if there is no way for them to watch?

Were you guys able to sign up on Flo for the $6.99 deal? If so, how?

*Edit* Never mind - I went through the link through the "Southwick AMA National Links" topic and it gave me the discount after that. Hopefully this helps someone else if they weren't able to figure out how to get the discounted price.
