The passenger ones like mine have dual AC too and it’s definitely awesome. Start it up and run the air when I load up haha!

I'm just pokin' ya. I stand by the ford interiors though. We always had busted plastic seat base shrouds on the Chevy's. They are both reliable and versatile. I'd own either one.

Another vote for the GM. My family has owned several of each, the GM is better in every way I can think of. Both will do the job though so if you can get a significantly better deal on the Ford you can’t really go wrong.

Get the 4.8 V8 for best fuel economy, the 6.0 is thirsty.
The older 6.0 was a gas hog, but the newer one isn’t. I have a 2017 Express 2500 extended van with the 6.0 that gets 19-20 mpg all day long.

That's pretty impressive.

Love my 2010 Ford E350… 150k rides like a Cadillac, tows strong, decent gas mileage for a tank…been stored inside a garage since day 1. Not a spot of rust anywhere… Spends winters in Florida… I have been thinking of selling it & buying a converted Sprinter or Transit… most Of the conversions I have looked at cannot fit motorcycles in the back…I have had Ford vans for 30 years, only 1 of them had issues.

Looked at this Sprinter at a local dealer a few days ago…everything you could want, accept the rear cargo area is 3 ft too short…. I should have taken a photo of the rear area, had the track tie down hooks & rubber floor with drop down bed from the top…. Just not long enough… they appear to be catering to outdoor adventure types that don’t ride MX bikes😂 and the price……..150k and up….at least it was 4wd….I think I will wait for the economy to hit rock bottom and pick up a used Sprinter that some hipster MX guy had built for 1/2 price👍

I really wanted an express or eco online but need the legal passenger seats for my kid. I just couldn’t get over ducking every time I loaded a bike in. I prefer the passenger models too for the air and the fact they are a lot quieter. I have a transit that was pretty close in price to an eco or express and wouldn’t give up the headroom now that I have it. Plus if I want I can run 10 people in it and it drives like an suv

How?? I have a 2011 6.0 and maybe get 15-16 at best. Does yours have the 8 speed? Mines a 6.

Had 3 Fords and 2 GM. This is my current Express Personally I would like a mix of the two on certain things like having a Ford with GM steering and cargo dimensions. You get a tad bit more roof height with the GM. Tad!

My 2008 4.8l get 15-16mpg. My buddies 2009 with 6.0 gets 14-15. I would go with the 6.0 just to have the ability to tow something. The 4.8 would struggle with an empty 5x8 enclosed, gutless. Reliable though.

Everyone in this thread seems to prefer the Chevy which I would side with due to the best V8 gas engine in the industry right now. What gives?
Ford E450 class C chassis is the only way to go in my opinion. Mine tows up my trailer with ease.

This was my last trip which had some stop and go traffic. I found the van mpg gauge to be accurate because I’ve checked it against the old way of dividing gallons into miles. Bear in mind it’s just a plain cargo van without a divider wall or shelves. I try to keep the weight down.

Me and Dcorbett62 will be at Dreamville MX this weekend if anyone wants to fight. He'll be the KTM guy with a hemp necklace. I'll be the hippy floatin valves on a bitchin #26 Suzuki.

Mines a 2015 w/ the 6.0 and I'm seeing nowhere near that. I'm close to 14 MPG Average.

I somewhat disagree with the struggle comment with the 4.8 depending on where your doing your towing and how much you are trying to pull with it. I had a GMC for 10 years with the 4.3 six cylinder and I towed a 5000 lb+ travel trailer with it all over Michigan. I could roll down the highway at 70 with no problem. The mileage wasn't awful either. You just can't expect it to accelerate like it would without the trailer.

That’s not a van you got there, that’s a unicorn.

Not sure how you pulling that off but I’ve had several vans, both cargo and passenger with all flavors of engines and best I’ve had was in my ford 150 cargo can with the inline 6 cylinder at 17 mpg. Currently 15.3 in my 2014 express.

I can’t imagine that’s his true average. He might hit that once or twice but not all the time. I drive mine super easy and can’t get close.

Had a 3500 Extended Express. Pretty good ride. Brake Rotors sucked. 6.0L was rock solid as was the trans. I towed stuff with it all over. Got rid of it because it had 308K on it. Bought a new Transit 350HD, high roof, dual wheels, Eco Boost. Got in it at the dealer and thought my 2004 Chevy was better than this (ergo's), Turbo motor is the shit. Tows 4000# with EZ. I've towed as much as 10,000# with it but I shouldn't have. It's a great moto van but for the stupid money it cost it's not a great value.

Weight in the back helps a lot in snow.

Always got 17-18 with the GM 4.8’s and the Ford 4.6’s on the highway. Both were great in the ice and snow.

If you’re buying new GM now offers you 3 choices, 4.3L V6, 6.6l V8 and 2.8L I4 diesel. That little diesel should get you close to 30mpg.
