Why do you guys care so much about what he does? Another thread about this? Seriously? I'm sure if you were in his position you would be doing the same thing. He said it himself on Pulp. He's already getting burnt out and why race the nationals when he's paid to win SX.

What? How can a guy that can’t even skim whoops wanna go SX only?!?
Just kidding, he can do whatever he wants, but it surely won’t raise his market value or his chance of getting into the HoF.

I just saw the rumour mill video with Michael saying he could be doing SX only again, so what the hell do I know.
I heard the best way to get comfortable on the bike is park it and let it sit in the garage 😂

What do you want him to retire or race one more year or to get his heath in check so we can see him race for another 3+?

Cooper is where Ricky and Vilo were at when they retired, let him do his thing.

I may have missed it, but I don’t think Webb or KTM ever really clarified why he was choosing to sit out the Nationals, and that’s where the ‘hate’ stems from.

From the ‘best off season ever’ and ‘paid to race’ jabs at Kenny, to blaming the bike for poor results, and having to back pedal on the mouthiness when performing badly. Then the no real explanation for sitting out. Meanwhile Marv in SX and then Dunge in MX get good results while KTM’s no.1 rider does a local race when most assumed (or at least I did) he was out injured…..

None of it reflects well on Webb. If he’d just come out and straight up took some responsibility and said he was burnt out and needed a break, or whatever the real reason is, then I don’t think anyone would be bagging on him.
He doesn’t owe an explanation to anyone, but you can’t be a smartarse (which I actually like about Webb) then go quiet when things aren’t going well and not expect people to talk about it and make their own assumptions.

That is a fair cop mate, I expect you're totally right right and a lot of it comes from the lack of transparency. I still think there's a portion from the folks who just plain don't like the guy, but there always will be 👍

I do quite like watching him and hopefully we get a refreshed Webb with some fire in him next season.

So you can excuse another guy not doing outdoors because he saw someone else crash in Supercross? But not Webb when having a kid and crashing himself multiple times including getting landed on? Hm sure that makes sense lmao

I don’t even like Cooper but I say good for him. Watching Dungey race this year should remind everyone most of these guys retire because they're burnt out because of the grind, not because they can’t do it anymore. If this extends his career then it’s better for everyone. If this causes some people to get butt hurt, I’m sure he DGAF.
