If he really is headed home after the weekend...I hope they do a little something special on the podium for him. Just a thank you from the fans...maybe a gift card to Spaghetti FactorySilly . Let the trackside fans give him some love. I know I sure got a kick out of seeing him ride.

I hope that KTM finds some funds to keep him here. He is getting better and I would like to see him at some of the other tracks and maybe he is able to gain some fitness if hes here all season. He has said he did not train like a normal off season , only reason I said anything about fitness. He gives KTM another high profile guy out there , I do not see anybody that you could replace him with for the same money that would get KTM more attention. Unless they brought Hearlings over ,and that's not going to happen especially not for the same type of deal Tony has. If this is his last race here I hope they do something to thank him for coming over and doing a lot of extra work for the same money he would be making if he was back at home. Its really cool to see riders at that level do it for the love of the sport. But he should still get some extra cash if he finishes well. Its positive press for the newest generation frame when he is up front. Lots of good reasons for KTM to keep him here.

At the risk of sounding like a vitard, I’m pretty disappointed with KTM’s attitude. Call me a diehard but I like riding a bike that comes from a manufacturer who puts 100% into their program. Even if KTM put out a PR about it or something, but dang I feel like they’re giving up a huge opportunity for the fans alone.

Was hoping to see him ride the full series. It was an honor to watch him ride at Redbud back in ‘18 for the MXoN. Would have loved to watch him ride there again. Rock on Tony!

Worst part about it is we didn't even get to watch him on some tracks that he'd really shine on

It's a shame someone doesn't find a way to keep him here throughout the series if in fact he would like to ride all the rounds. I was really hoping he would be at Red Bud. It just adds flavor to the series and I would love to see him score a podium at some point. I think the fans would be geeked.

Seeing him at these first few rounds just makes me wish the talent worldwide wasn't split between two series. Imagine how epic the past few years would have been all those guys going at it all year long. maybe someday...

I wish supercross wasn't a thing and we just had a year-long world motocross championship with everyone.

It’s sounding like corporate has been dropping the ball lately in more ways than one.

Regarding treating their riders well, you’ve gotta think other top guys are going to remember the way KTM is going about this if an opportunity to ride for then comes up in the future.

Damn, it was fun to watch him here, even if for only a few races. Big mistake by KTM...

They axed Kailub Russell after all he did for them. Not surprising, but it is a shame though.

On the bright side, we got to see TC222 race some AMA events when he's not in "race shape" and was doing great, which will add plenty of ammo to bench racing sessions Smile

It's a real shame we didn't see Antonio go over to the States a few years back. Silly

Good thing KTM has all that cash for that awesome MotoGP effort. There is an old saying about leaving the dance with the girl you came with. Shame....

This whole situation stinks. Webb doing local races and collecting a salary, Plessinger seems more worried about his red neck reputation than results and you have Roger talking about how Cairoli "needs to be doing better" when he's not even getting paid. Pretty bad look for KTM.

"Pretty bad look" indeed. Just like the Kailub Russell debacle..

I agree. It's outlandish that KTM dumps crazy money into R&D to try to make the lightest, fastest, and most advanced bikes (including 2 strokes and electric) but falters when it comes to racing? You would think they would upgrade the racing program to match their R&D.

A true legend of our sport. I enjoyed watching him ride. Tremendous technique and style for days. I do wish we could see him more, especially the east coast rounds.

I made it my mission to go to Hangtown Motocross, so my dad and I could meet him and see him race! My family is from his town, so it was cool to talk Sicily with him. He and his wife, Jill, took more than a few minutes to talk to us. They are awesome people and it was treat to see him race. This is a big 2022 highlight. I hope KTM can find the cash to sign him for the remainder of the year. LEGEND!!!!

Grazie AC222!!!!

As a family, I think they've enjoyed themselves. Bummer to see them leave:
