2 sides to every story I suppose.

Hopefully for all our sake they play nice together this year so we can have the fastest team possible.
What other side is there? Kawi refused to be on the team radio and operated like their own team...it's also how team USA/Tomac missed the inside gate that was left open because there was no way to communicate with them. If its because Kawi management doesn't like Roger...well that's just too bad they should stop acting like children and come together for the team...but there are those on that team that aren't capable of that...they would be the same for any manager of Team USA...

I don't have anything to back this up, but I think if Team USA has a different manager and/or Kawasaki is dealing with team fried instead of team tomac they will absolutely have a different attitude toward the event. I guess we'll see.

Love the speculation... It's what bench racing is all about.

Wife and I just landed in Denver and we were talking about this on the plane. We came up with Jason and Eli on 450 and Chase on the 250 after much deliberation...

But I have to say, that any 2 of the 3 on a 450 and Craig on the 250 is also a very viable option.

I think (I know, not a good idea) that we will have a much clearer picture after Red Bud.... And we should.

Here's to hoping for an amazing day of racing at Thunder Valley!!!! CHEERS!!

Because those Kawi settings work so well on the new KTMs. Sometimes this sport is so stupid.

Anderson isn’t my guy but he should get the nod if kawi will play ball. We need someone on the team that will ride like their hair is on fire and they want to win at all costs. I’m a Tomac fan but not sure his heart is in that race which is a shame. Not sure I see Sexton dropping to the 250 either. So if it were today Anderson, Sexton, Cooper

I like the way you think. I also have this personal fantasy of Eli wanting to cement his legacy by winning another outdoor title, winning MXON and then putting the icing on the cake with a repeat SX title and then retiring.

No way. If it were Australia's to lose. That means u think the Lawrence's would beat sexton tomac and Anderson.
I think it's the best chance for usa.
Ned has no herlings.
Fra has Tom vialle, and maxime renaux and who's the 3rd febvre? Ferrandis?

Depends on Dylan, or has he said yet that he will definitely return before end of outdoors?
But yeah, Ferrandis, Reneaux and Vialle is tough to beat. If Dylan doesn't race they are missing a 450 rider. Who would be next in line, Benistant?

edit: welp, forgot about Febvre. I guess you're right then lol

I'd also say that France has to be the favorite, but it's not by much this year. NED is down quite a bit and AUS is up quite a bit too. But hot on the FRA tails will be a fired up USA team. Not counting out ITA either...

If you want someone to ride the 250 like their hair is on fire, the right choice might just be Craig... I like Cooper, but he doesn't move forward a lot, he just gets great starts... Craig absolutely moves forward for a whole moto and he's a pretty good starter too.

The Netherlands has Coldenhoff, De Wolf and Bogers. Personally I'd put them second behind France and just in front of the USA.

Also everyone seems to be overlooking Spain, I'll probably get laughed at for this but I don't think a team of Prado, (Martinez? Braceras? Farres? 🤷‍♂️) and Fernandez is that far off a team of the Lawrence brothers and Evans. Having a good MX2 rider is crucial in the MXoN but if Prado and Fernandez can both put together a couple of good races then the MX2 rider should only need one decent one and they can throw away the other. Could even put Prado on a 250 and have Butron ride.

Edit: This comment is invalid if Evans is back to his pre injury form by MXoN

USA

MX1: Tomac
MX2: Cooper
Open: Sexton

Canada

MX1: Wright
MX2: McNabb or Piccolo
Open: Pettis (He'll get back up to speed)

I like Tyler, but Pettis is faster.

If our guys are healthy, I think we could get our best result yet with that team. Looking forward to it.

France

MX1: Ferrandis
MX2: Vialle
Open: Renaux

If Ferrandis can't make it, put Febvre in.

After only the first 2 races for info I would go Sexton and Anderson. Those 2 guys are giving it 100% each moto and overcoming obstacles whereas Eli has already shown he can be a mental case at times again.

However if Eli goes on a tear like we all know he could then I will eat my own words and swap the team around.

Long story short, its just to early to tell...

Has Craig ever won a 250 moto? I can't recall him ever really being a factor on a 250 outdoors.

I think barring injury the best team right now would be:

MX1 - Sexton, gets good starts and has shown he is the fastest right now
Open - Tomac, has the ability to get to the front if he has a bad start and his current team will play nice and be a part of the overall team which is what is needed in this format
MX-2 - Cooper Great starter and has proven he is the best US 250 rider we have. He will only get better as the summer progresses.

Anderson, although could easily be in Tomac's spot but his team has proven that they don't care or want to be part of the team aspect of this race...Anderson deserves to go but not his team...

We get it, you don't like the Kawi Team....

It's also been put out there by Media that the Kawi Team doesn't want to play nice because of Decoster, but I understand he is "untouchable" to some so carry on.....
