Enjoyed start to finish immensely. Cameras, mic'd up folks, graphics etc. Did lose signal a few times, I'll take that.

In before you're called Davey or told to put down the crack pipe.

On a more serious note, getting booted from the app mid-way through the 2nd 450 moto and then not being able to re-log in for a good 10 minutes and missing the Tomac charge is anything but excellent. The replay may be good, but the live product was very much lacking.

We forget when we waited a week+ for Cycle News to get the results. Yesterday's coverage was less "challenging" than last week. App replay today was great and just as exciting as anticipation yesterday. What will we complain about next?

When it dropped, I had to exit and go back in. Not perfect, but I was able to watch HD, all 4 motos. Thought it was a very solid production

We forget when life expectancy was around 40 years old, but modern medicine has made us soft. Quit whining, you're lucky to hit 50!

Why should we not expect the technology and tools available to us and sold to us to work as described? Never once had a problem with NBC Gold, and only a couple minor hiccups with Peacock, while MavTV plus has crashed over 50 times for me since I've started using it last week.

How are some people getting HD and a lot of us are not. Mavtv is the only app in my library with with a crappy dull bland uneventful picture quality. ESPN/Fox Sports and Peacock show live events in 1080p @60fps so it is possible to have a crystal clear vibrant exciting picture on 400mbps download and 20mbps upload speeds that I get at home. Just got done watching the NASCAR race from St. Louis on the Fox Sports app, now that race was in HD….real HD….not the the HD that Mavtv claims to feed us. Bandwidth cost money, so screw these Moto fans.

About half the time its so blurry I can't even read the status board on the left. But we forget that back when, we didn't have a blurry status board to not be able to read

As we should forget getting the results via paper copy, that was 30+ years ago. It’s 2022 and you can find damn near anything you want live streamed without error. Why should we accept anything less from two hosts (Mx Sports and MavTv) that have been doing this for years.

I am on a 1gig down/500mbps up fiber connection, and I am getting it in HD, but it is also buffering a few times throughout the whole broadcast. It also quit towards the end for about 5 mins, and I had to turn the roku box off and restart it in order to continue. I really don't think it is on my end either, according to multiple speed tests my connect is great.

One thing I don't understand is the mentality that some on here have with the "well it still sucks, but it is better than what we had a couple of years ago so that's good enough even though I am paying out the ass for it." WTF is that? They should be pro-rating all these races and refunding back the money on the ones they are not delivering on, like the first one for sure, the second I might give them a mulligan on.

This is such a ridiculous justification for a sub par product. NBC gold worked great. I personally had zero issues with Peacock too. To go backwards is unacceptable when you're paying for a product. If it was free it would be a different story

This is literally the dumbest logic I ever heard. Moto fans are just assumed to be dumb. Hey, we forget there was a time when we had to use a horse and buggy to get from point a to point b. So, who care if your car is a lemon into which you invested your money that keeps breaking down. It’s all good, right? Dumb. And we - the base fans - should not settle for less than possible. MavTV and MX sports could have and should do better.

So I fall into this category. I do base my opinion on historically (decades) VERY limited coverage. I certainly understand the expectations people have otherwise. First week couldn't even reactivate my account on ROKU or any other platform. When I got it this week, it was an obviously under funded program compared to NBCS and others. I accept the coverage I am getting. Camera placement and riders followed are very important to me, and I think they did an above average job.

Worked pretty good for me but had a couple small glitches. Logged me out once and froze up once.

Yea I can pull it up on my app usually no problem and on the phone, you can't really notice the bad quality but one thing I can't do is Chromecast it to my tv. Every time I try it shuts down. Then when I try to log on to their site I run into login issues and had to reset my passwords multiple times if I can even make it that far. Pretty shitty experience especially one you're paying for.

I checked 3hr 45min after last race ended and it was up, so suspect 3-3:45 after. Irritating.

NBC sports was 5 min, Peacock an hour.

Using standards from 30 years ago to measure products or services today is incredibly lazy.
The standard should be the CURRENT "best" product possible, and MAVTV is SO far from that.

Pala was so bad, people are ecstatic about Hangtown being a lesser dumpster fire.

Was it better? Yes. Was it close to what a "premium" paid service should be in 2022? NOPE.

I agree with OP.

....and I also think the $6.79 I just paid per gallon of gas is just awesome too.

I was part of the Cycle News era.

We are 40 years from that.

There is no excuse for shoddy/amateur coverage.

I reject the new norm.....the acceptance of mediocrity.

yup, I kept checking and was just under 4 hrs. Cant remember NBC sports but I thought Peacock was about 30 mins? I cant believe I would ever say this, but I miss peacock, and the picture was sharp as hell! Camera work was shit though.

In 2014 the stream worked great for all four motos live and without commercials. The first motos were free and streamed on the pro motocross website.
In 2007 you could reliably stream the x games. It's 2022, how is this stuff still a problem?
6/7/2022 12:05am
I watched on my computer on the MavTV+ website and aside from the stream going out at the end of the second 450 moto I was quite pleased.

Stupid take

I lost the video and just had audio halfway through the first 450 moto. Waiting till Sunday to watch, thinking that would help. Lost second 450 moto, right after holeshot. Sucks.
