Guy wins a half championship and everyone goes nuts.

Did he have some tough breaks... yes, but being on a 250 at his age, its hardly a breakthrough is it.

Some people are into Family vloggers , some get really ticked off buy it. I really couldn’t care less whether a rider is married with kids or not. CC has been around for a long time and he earned this championship. I would love to see him ride a 450 but in professional sport he should take the best deal he can get.

Not too mention the Oxygen network watchers here that say "he deserved the championship" or "well deserved"....sure. he has persevered and earned a regional championship after going to work for 10+ years. So many emotional limp wrists here pecking away on a keyboard.

Is CC the only rider to come back and win a championship after a FIM suspension? If he wanted to could he stay and defend his 250 championship next year?

Christian Craig was the fastest rider in 2022 West. Who gives a curly shit how old he is? If anything, the fact that he beat younger riders, who should be in the primes of their lives, shows his worth.

I don’t follow them on social media, so my original comments maybe were unfounded. Didn’t realize that there was that much being portrayed by them on social media.

Anyways. I thought it was a pretty decent accomplishment. Wish I was capable of doing it. Lol.

You guys seriously need to ask ping how bad the day of his back breaking was if you need a refresher. Wasn’t good , for the team or anyone.

Was his dad a great pro? Sure was. I don’t think that helped him as much as anyone thinks. Mike Craig sure wasn’t a Brian deegan.

A regional SX title has a limited shelf life. CC may aspire to something greater.

I’d hardly say he dominated. Both Craig and Lawrence scored 4 wins and Craig only won it by ten points.

He definitely dominated the first half of the series though

That being said I do believe he can be a top 450 rider both indoors and out within 2 years

I honestly don’t see the ‘rags to riches’ story as being as bad as you say it is.

Yeah sure there was that one feature during SX which was very likely ‘over-egged’ by the media, but isn’t everything they do? The make-up to mud feature was simply cringe.. the science of supercross is complete bollox.. so is the announcer saying “Chad is absolutely flying out there” when all he was doing was a parade lap..

I don’t think he bleats on about it during his vlogs at all.

Not one real mention of any of the struggles or a sense of world-domination, just a pretty good video documenting the night and the emotions of winning that title.

I actually hope he does well on the big bike this summer.

Man...what a great video that was. The raw emotion shown and some of the moments we didn't see on the broadcast. His wifes words at the end were what it's all about.

...and Ferrandis...I was already a fan...but how cool he showed up in support. Class move.

I’ve watched all his vlogs, and don’t recall any instance of selling his sob story. The only thing like that was that ‘ad-itorial’ feature they played during the SX & that was very likely scripted by the media, not the Craig’s.

He seems like a nice guy. Talented rider and great technique/style. I wouldn’t put my kids that much in the picture but each of their own. I’ve watched plenty of their vlogs and you have to respect how great of a father he is. He deserved the title and hopefully he will continue his career on the 450 greatly. Not too many riders have a regional SX title so hopefully he will realize what he accomplished. Cool

He´s got great style and can do JS7 speed at whoops but when it comes to races
that will make him champion or not looks totally different rider. Makes so many mistakes
and rides like he is scared that bike can leave track any second. He could benefit sport
psychologist.

12 out of the 22 riders that lined up for the 450 main event at A1 have had a Lites title in either SX or MX or even both. 7 out of the 22 riders in 450 main at SLC have had a Lites title in SX or MX. I would make the argument that a lot riders have regional and national championships.
