You’re stuff reminds me of tattoo art.

Jjavaman one of your paintings has a very VanGogh feeling to it.

Pixie and myself painted our “grow room” back in the day graffiti style with acrylics. I can’t draw, paint, and my handwriting looks like a doctors; ie six year old.

Ps, I like find these threads so much more enjoyable and cohesive, than the endless political dribble.

Thanks. I’ll take that as a compliment. I wanted to be a tattoo artist in my late teens. I’ve always enjoyed drawing. Tattoo Magazine and, Marty Holcomb were always my inspiration for the type of stuff I enjoy sketching out when I was younger. Reality set in after seeing portrait tattoos and, some work of Marty’s to just stick with it for fun. Often, turning something you enjoy into a job makes it less enjoyable. I didn’t want that. Here’s some work of Holcomb.

I’ve got a couple, they start at the wrists and end at the shoulders. Was definitely meant as a compliment.

I’ll be getting some work done in the near future. My grandparents loved birds of prey. My grandfather loved eagles and, my grandmother great horned owl’s. Once I finish the drawing, I’ll have the work done. It’s a tribute so, I’m my own worst enemy critiquing myself.

Then post it here.
I'm sure it will be great.

Here’s another one I did during quarantine. Sometimes, it’s hard to tell when to stop. I feel like I should’ve left it without so much color. Less is more sometimes.

Alright, design me a back piece! I want Heaven, on the top. You know, clouds and and Angels playing harps. In the middle I want the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, but on motorcycles. The bottom is hell, with fire and demon/devils reaching up. 😎🏁

Props, brother.

That’ll take time but, sure. You have my email so, if you have ideas shoot them over. Honestly, just my opinion, that’ll probably look best in black work with minimal color. Slight outline of flames and, clouds in color. Just send some ideas. I don’t want to draw a bunch of cherubs and demons on big wheels for ya 🤣

I hope you’re doing well man. Has Pete ever gotten around to using those jigs? I’m still waiting for salmon season to start. I went steelhead fishing last weekend but, it was slow. Got a few good photos though. Here’s one of the better ones. It’s the Kalama river here in Washington. Peaceful. I spread my grandfathers ashes here in 2011.

Beautiful place. I'm sure he would be pleased.

Man we have had a weird year.
Our lake is so low, he can hardly launch much less get to his holes.

He went and slayed the spawn from the bank, but I'm pretty sure he was fishing live bait.

I'll grill him tomorrow. We finally got some rain, so maybe this weekend.

I was looking at that duck's feet and I started thinking: those things are kind of pigeon toed when they walk.
Good attention to detail man!

They always say, a carpenter works on his own house last.
True.
Been working all winter, off and on, on a edge grain maple counter top. with a herringbone corner pattern for our cabin.
Bought the 8/4 hard maple last summer.
Finally put the finishing touches on this morning.

Edge grain maple has a cool iridescent look, and changes as the light angles change.

Metal art… here’s my shop at home - Millermatic 211 mig welder, Hypertherm Powermax65 plasma cutter, Ingersoll Rand 3 stage 14CFM AC, Milwaukee grinders etc I’d like to get an Acorn welding table and a burn table but can’t justify the cost for the little bit I do. It’s a nice outlet, spent thousands of hours out there over the last 8 years or so.

Not the best form in these pics , but this is my other obsession. Used to split the year up between riding and skiing , but now it’s more riding and less skiing. Skiing is tougher on my wrecked back. The sports seem to compliment each other , some of my ski buddies are very good riders.

Both my wife and I do a fair amount of hiking and scuba diving. We recently completed all 211 miles of the John Muir Trail last and take one or two vacations dedicated to diving.

Been a guitar player and bass player for most of my life.
A few years ago a buddy of mine got me interested in Cigar Box Guitars.

I build mostly 3 string and 2 string fretless guitars for open tuning slide playing.
I sell them and donate the money to our local food bank or donate them to people to raise money.
Lotta fun to play around with and the builds are always fun.
Some of them have cool artwork already and some I wipe the labels off and do my own thing.

Thanks …Pretty much, I need to smooth out imperfections and do fine detail work but the main structure is done - 470 hours invested so far.

These are my off-season indoor activities besides playing some hockey. I have been building models and dioramas since I was a kid. And I also enjoy high-end audio. I design and build my own speakers. From winding my own inductors for the crossovers to the finish cabinetry.

My brain can't seem to do "imagination".
What it does do is mechanical. I can draw you a counter sprocket, but ask me to draw a horse, the thing would look like some Jacked up giraffe/dog mutation.

I do like "shotgun golf"....

I'm the same as you. Geometric drawings, easy. I can do large assemblies all day, it makes sense. Organic shapes? Grinning Grinning
