i for one have no issue with outside sponsors assisting the privateers , whether it be OF or not.

hell maybe OF should start commercials during the broadcast.

America is getting far too soft and far to many crybabies exist.

On your point about the country going soft....I 100% agree.

MAV shared that the demographic is 18-35. Yet look at how many kids are in the stands. Do you have a daughter...do you want her thinking that selling her body (whoring digital or otherwise) is an appropriate way to make a living? Would you be happy if your daughter came home saying she made a $500k flashing her cootch?

I'll wager most of the people who are down with this crap do not have kids of their own.

There's plenty of outlets for those seeking adult content out there, it does not belong in our sport.

This is just another nail in the coffin for why our sport will never be mainstream and never be taken seriously.
If we're trying to draw in another generation....this is not the way to do it.

my .03 cents....adjusted for inflation.

Bob Hannah thinks you’re soft…

Was Daniel Bilzerian - IGNITE an acceptable sponsor? drugs, naked girls, guns. Honest question, I never heard anyone being against him.

Would you consider him a role model for kids/families?

By the way, Dan is cool

Drugs and naked girls. No way that is acceptable. Do you think someone advocating these things are an appropriate sponsor to a sport with families and kids?

Let's not get into guns as that will lead down a political rathole. For the record - I am SOLIDLY pro 2A

The bottom line is....I don't give 2 shits what people do on their own time (as long as it's not harming someone)....there are some things that do not belong on a broadcast where kids/families are involved.

Thank you for articulating it so well, exactly what I was trying to say.

The demographic doesn't mean a thing, if he doesn't want his children to see something he should have a way to prevent it especially if he is paying for it.

OP: There is nothing Karenish about that.
Yeah it does. If they're going to air commercials, the network is going to cater to their target audience which in this case is 18-35 year olds.

They're not going to air Barbie commercials during SX because that's a different demographic. Just like you won't see beer commercials during Saturday morning cartoons.

He can prevent it by muting the TV or changing the channel for a minute and come back to the races after.

It's not the network's job to shield kids away from certain material. That's the parent's job.

Some of the commercials make me deeply question the competency of marketers. Do they have any idea who is watching supercross?

You are right and you don't even know it.

He paid to not watch commercials, hence protecting his kids from inappropriate content. Target market doesn't matter when you paid for commercial free.

Hannah Ray is a great role model.
Thanks to her, every little girl knows she can make it in porn, no matter how ugly and badly built she is.

Are you saying that you’re worried that your kid doesn’t know that sex is natural and NOT bad, and that murdering people IS bad?…these seem like things you would teach your kid regardless of commercials…or at least because of them.
Lol…calling yourself a “Karen” makes me wonder what you are admitting to.

If you you watch SX live, you get commercials. Watch the replay, no commercials.

I’m sick of seeing previews for the Joe exotic show. It was funny when it came out 2 years ago. Now it’s just annoying
Why would you watch a remake of a reality documentary show anyways? Wouldn't you just go watch the original again?Laughing

Tell me you didn't watch said commercial without telling me you didn't watch said commercial.

Here's a quick screengrab. Personally, I don't have a problem with it but that doesn't mean I should decide what someone else's kid sees, that is up to the parents.

Funny, people come on here and bitch and complain about no respect kids of today and then are fine with them seeing crap that rewires their brains to not feel any empathy.

Alright, that’s f’d up. Real crime scene photo? So that’s a dead body, pool of real blood, and a blood-covered knife that was presumably just used to murder the unfortunate human in the photo.

It’s one thing when it’s fake hollywood bs, but I agree this is a couple steps too far.

So much true crime entertainment out there right now. It appears the sensationalization of murder is the general public’s latest depravity.

I don’t usually disagree with you Mav, but the commercials they do play don’t even seem to be aimed toward fans of SX at all and if they think it is, they need to seriously take another look at the shows they are promoting to us fans. It just seems to be NBC pushing their bs shows that no one else cares to watch anyways. No one I know that watches SX has any interest in watching any of those shows they promote in the commercials play.

I do agree it is a parents job shield their kids from what they deem inappropriate, but like McG posted with the screenshot, my 5 year old saw that while my wife and I were getting dinner on plates. We did our best to try to explain our way out of what he had just seen on TV, but you could imagine his reaction to seeing that.

Very well said man.

To me, having those previews/ads on during a show that's otherwise "rated" for all audiences is like taking your 5-10 year old kid to see a G rated movie and then having R rated previews.

Nobody is saying the network can't air their previews and ads, but common sense SHOULD dictate a preview showing a dead body shouldn't be played during a broadcast on which they can't even say the word "ass" due to their "targeted audience."

People keep saying the world has gone soft because we complain about things like this. Well, to say it's GONE soft means it was hard before?
Go watch TV shows from the 80's, no way in hell they'd allow this stuff. The world has gone soft because we've all allowed the lines to be blurred on this crap.

There was literally a Barbie commercial during the CNBC broadcast I dvr’ed 😂 I remember thinking “this seems odd and very out of place.”

FX is really bad at appropriate commercials during streaming as well. I was watching the Grinch with my 4 year old streaming on FX around Christmas time and a Kingsmen movie commercial came on and there was guns blazing, knives out, explosions, saw about a dozen murders, ect... amazing how they haven't figured out an appropriate algorithm for commercials.

Fwiw I’ve yet to see a commercial other than the usual Rmatv and Moto ads. Not sure if I’ve skipped the others or they don’t show up on my account. I always watch sx with the family and suspect that a large percentage of sx watchers are under 16.

Oh lord, this again about “I pay for no commercials!!” You do know you’re watching a live event? The no commercials is for when watching the replays of the race. You don’t get the 60 second commercials between the motos.
Damn when you speak with some common sense people really don't like it at all.

This is a parenting issue. Non-Moto.

You know when the potential inappropriate ads are coming, be ready...because this is a Primetime Live broadcast on a Pay channel.

Not everything can be "auto-piloted" or there's an "App" or "Control" for. Putting full trust in your App's or Phone's parenting suggestions is idiotic anyway.

But, here's a suggestion, so you don't have to worry about a 30 second ad:

Take them to a Movie (but, be vigilante on the previews) during the Live SX broadcast and watch the replay the next morning (which is sans "offensive" ads).

"Problem" Solved.

Where on the below scale would that "offensive" ad rate?
