I have always considered motocross/supercross to be a contact sport, that's what makes it so great, IT IS part of the strategery.

If a rider gets out of hand, it can go one of two ways, the race management can do something or the can leave it to the other riders to work it out.

I'd rather leave it to the others to work out. Believe me, it usually gets worked out and you never see it. Not every rider is always on camera. Some things also get worked out behind the scenes.

I always raced with the "It's my corner, bitch" attitude, but I also knew paybacks are a bitch as well....

Looks like Bogle had a ring side seat for that one. Later on, I think he bogle slows gets lapped again, right before a corner. I was laughing saying he should do it again.

Watched Eli's pass on Barcia and you could see Barcia was thinking about going back in on Eli in the next corner, but you can also tell he backed out of it as not being a good idea and let Eli go. Granted, Eli was starting to gap him and no way could Barcia taken Eli out without it being intentional.

I was watching it in person. I honestly thought Anderson was going to square up like jet did macadoo. When they hit the triple you could see it coming. Bam bam is reliably predictable.

What a difference some perspective gives. I was remembering this incident when Marv was getting close to Tomac at Indy yesterday. It could have been a repeat of the Barcia incident, but Tomac kept taking the outside line betting Marv would not do that.
However in 250s Macadoo took the inside line when in front several times because he knew if he left the door open for Jett he’d block pass him. Anderson, with more experience and knowing Barcia tenacity should have seen it coming.

Nothing wrong with the move just gets tiring watching barcia pass people by hitting them rather then using his race craft and making a clean pass.

And a tidal wave of Love filled the room. Then she goes back to hitting on me. Then her hz test. Her office is not far from our truck yard . She would b more of a challenge than a SX track.

Okay...just watched it a few times. Jason has about a 5 or 6 bike lead and pivots hard in the turn. No way could he have changed the laws of physics and avoided him at that point. Anyone that watches and says otherwise doesn’t ride or is a dumb ass...or both. He was so far back that Anderson just didn’t expect it at all. It was a shit move. All ando could have, and should have, done is pull a Mookie and grab on to bambam’s bike and make sure he goes down too.

btw.. Anderson made a clean pass on bambam when he could have taken him out....I guess Jason regrets that now.

So you don’t ride. When he pivots and rips out of the turn is the first he is looking that way. (He clearly thought a 6 bike lead is big enough to use that line...he was wrong.) I know that people like to see blood and drama, but i don't like it. For me MX and SX is dangerous enough, i do not need dirty riders like Anderson or Barcia. I want to see hard but fair racing.

Ever watched a race from the 80s, 90s, or 2ks? Good lord man. Also fold your laundry and go get your chick a Diet Pepsi before you catch a backhand from her. "OH KNOW! In all the years Barcia's been pro I've never took issue with the guy. Many racers have. Many on this board have. Even rooted for the guy when he was on Yamaha outdoors for a few seasons, when he would grow his beard out. But after Indianapolis, I realized how much of a bitch he is. For the rest of his career I hope Karma comes his way. Lost all respect for him. Anderson was leading the race. Even then with a long shot, Anderson was still in the hunt. That's over now. Now we're left watching a 450 class that is already decided. Classless cheap-shot rider, that's how I'll remember him, nothing else

The same move was attempted in the 250 LCQ. Maybe it was Munoz on Nicolleti? Phil dodged it. It's a textbook pass attempt on that section of the track. Barcia did not initiate contact or a take out. I find it more strange that Anderson didn't see him!

This move looks more aggressive than Barcias and they both stayed up. They are racing by lcq rules though so it's clean.

These responses are fucking stupid. I was a fan and rode back then and cheap shots were still cheap shots and no one liked seeing Lusk take out MC. It was bad racing then and bad now. Earlier then that it was much less skilled racers so it was more banging and much worse racing. The good races the banging was contact back and forth....not takeouts. Takeouts end the racing between the two...boring. The one thing I did like more back then is if there was a cheap takeout then often the guy would go punch the cheap shoter. People like to somehow glamorize it but it was often shit racing and not nearly as entertaining as today’s sport. Yea...I’m old too and I was around and riding then. Opinions like yours are fucking stupid and the sport would die if it was shared by more then a handful of idiots,

Oh..and implying wanting good racing is not the same as woke bullshit so shove that safe place up your puckered ass.

Bam Bam made the turn AFTER he was plowed by Jason Anderson; I disagree with some of you who think he wouldn’t have made the turn if he WASN’T plowed by Jason.
IMO the pictures show that Jason had plenty of time to brake or swerve and that Bam Bam almost had the turn completed when Jason plowed him. If Jason wasn’t there Bam Bam would’ve stopped turning and just went straight off the track?…Why do some of you think it’s so hard for a professional SX’er to make a simple flat turn like that by himself?
A friend of mine who works at Kawi says they are a bit disappointed with Jason at this point. He has shown he has the speed to beat Eli and he could’ve had the points lead if not for a few poor decisions. I’m sure they’re a bit disappointed with Bam Bam too, but the fact of the matter is, Bam Bam threw the bait out there and Jason took it. In the grand scheme of things Bam Bam lost one point (if Jason stayed in front of him he would’ve lost 2 points…instead he was docked 3) but it cost someone who can beat him regularly to lose a lot of points!
Fandom sometimes causes people to look through rose colored glasses. I’m a huge fan of both Jason and Justin…equally.
