Its not about the looks you fools. If you delve into it further you will find CR1 has a very close tie to the indigenous people of Australia.

Pretty cool and very unique .....Gonna be a little hard to see at night even under the lights the tones are a little dark for a night race, he might be better off doing it at any of the day nationals but I like it and that it means something to him

It is a cool deal for sure, but as a dirt bike helmet.....it's still ugly. But I can still respect an ugly helmet. At least it's not ugly like the clown gear earlier this year. Now that was beyond ugly.

i guess it would look better ith white rims.......the black makes it heavy

to bad the americans dont give a fuck to the ruts of their country.........for me the indian culture is one of the richest and most intresting of native culture in the world......even from L&M sponsor what we hear is about the casino dollars....!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately most Americans choose to ignore the Native American history; that way they dont feel bad about genocide and stealing the land, then reselling it while it really wasnt theirs to sell.

Well, Im the artist Raymond Walters Japanangka

Learning about Chad's success in the motocross world and his Aboriginal heritage, I felt quite honoured to paint a significant "Ngapa Dreaming" on his helmet.

I understand not everyone will appreciate or understand the concept on the art design, but in my culture the Water Dreaming is very powerful.

The circles represent the Water. The colours within the map of Australia represents the Aboriginal Australian flag. The red symolic to our mother earth and blood shed over many generations. The black is the colour of people and our connection with the stars/stories of the Dreamtime. The yellow is obvious, the sun, the essense of life.

I have met many wonderful people from the States, and trust me there are plenty of people who do appreciate Aboriginal Australian Art.

Cool to see the artist come back his work. Props to Reed for wearing it. Didn't he bid to win it as well?

I too think it's, well....... ugly. But, to each his own. It is great work and it seems to be for a great cause so, well done.

Oh, and the MC helmet did have dingle balls on it. My mom would have called them grannybeads.

The 2 helmets took roughly a 2 weeks to paint.
The other was auctioned, I think it got $5,000.
All proceeds went to Red Dust Role Model charity.
