Going fast in qualifying is not even close to the same as going fast in a race for the whole 20+ 1.

Even Hannah started questioning 'why' he was still out there racing...it is not unusual. RC4 did the same. Says he hated racing at the end.

Kenny probably sees Anderson and Tomac rejuvenated by going to a new team.

RV2 states if he had done what Tomac did (changing teams) he probably would have raced 2-3 more years. Kenny could do the same.

It’s funny that every time Kenny is trasparent with hiss issiues, all the Americans calls it excuses. And this time when he has been quiet, that’s not okay either..

People think Ken is ancient… he’s TWENTY SEVEN. Vince Friese is 5 years older than him and matching him in pace, and he’s not even a particularly good example. Marvin is 5 years older. Roczen got 13th yesterday… only Cooper, Sexton and Ferrandis are younger ahead of him, and Cooper is only a month younger. Everyone else is his senior and yet besides Brayton, Roczen looks closest to retiring. Heck, Vince is still going up at this point. It’s just insane how fast the guy went from a title being an inevitability to retirement talks.

The BIG difference is that Kenny looks like he does not want to be racing anymore unlike all the others you discussed.

If I had to guess, Kenny is definitely courting offers from other teams. Stipulating a bike set-up he likes in exchange for winning races. He may see more of the team's resources poured into grooming Chase Sexton as their #1 guy (as well they should), and resents that his precise specifications aren't receiving the attention they did back when he was crushing it. I don't think his qualifying vs. main event speed is due to fading, either. Rolling whoops, getting lapped...he is starting races shitty, and ending races shitty. Unlike Marvin, who starts strong and drops anchor. It appears very purposeful on Kenny's part.

Ultimately, if this is what he's doing, it's very stupid and short-sighted. He's cutting off his nose to spite his face, so to speak, and it's hard to see any team wanting to throw a lucrative contract to someone acting so petty and disloyal.

I don't think he is purposely racing poorly or that he is out of shape. His heart is just not in it right now.

No it’s because he gives the same vague answer every time he’s asked what is going on with his health when he says his body isn’t right. Typically he answers with “I don’t know” and I think the last time someone asked him how he felt he even replied with “I don’t have to be here”.

I’m not saying he’s making excuses, I’m saying he’s being very vague whenever people ask him what’s wrong, it just isn’t productive anymore.

At least he's not out there blabbing about his health issues lately....that drives me nuts. That Kristen Beat interview was the worst ever...

It's fine with the transparency and you can call them what you want, but they are excuses. Does that mean they are bad? No. What's bad is he comes out and WINS A1 and then posts a video of how sick he was in December.....and then falls off the pace after one race with no injury reported and has now fallen all the way back with the privateers. What was the point of posting that? He is a mental train wreck and finds every reason in his own head why he can't our shouldn't be at the front. Like last year when he was in the title hunt and Webb caught him in Atlanta and basically pulled over for him. It's his actions that bring this up. He doesn't have to talk about it, but he clearly doesn't want to be out there......and that's BAD for all of us as fans. I would much rather see him up there battling where he and his talent belong.

Ride the new CRF450. Then….immediately after……ride a KX450 (or Yamaha/ ktm). You will feel the problem. The bike doesn’t feel good.

And……I’m a Honda guy at heart. Any one else feel this way about the bike?

I can guarantee you that he isn't the top dog at Honda anymore and Sexton is the man for now. Maybe Kroc's ego is smashed because he's not the one any longer but he's not doing his "value" to other teams any favors with these awful races especially after winning A1 . Sad

The bottom line for HRC is that they invested 6 years and 20M+ on him plus all the resources to support him and they have zero championships so he'd only be a seat warmer if he stays with them and I think his riding shows it.

Pure speculation, but maybe Kenny’s been demoted to rider 2 and resources are being focused on Chase? He may be disappointed in his position as second fiddle.
