Should they all stay in there lane until after the first turn like a track and field race so no one's feelings get hurt in a first turn incident?

He got more points in supercross than his brother did last season and the motoworld won't shut up about him so is 2nd in the championship not good enough for a top 100 number

Hmmmmm....

I have had a few gate drops in my time. 1999 Houston SX 125cc was one of my finer ones. Binghamton outdoor that year in the first moto was pretty good as well. Glen Helen 125cc national I had a stellar one once. But enough about me.....

Moving over is not the question. Thats all fair. I think it was a little extra braking once the position was made to bunch up the inside. Its a real pro move that isn't being talked about. Pretty cheeky and well played.

Damn ok, you’re a stud, that’s rad. I didn’t see it as a brake check and don’t feel like there was any foul play. If anything I saw it as, I have the spot, I’m going to squeeze whoever I can and get on the brakes hard to square up the corner and keep it tight.
"But enough about me....." You gotta admit that was good.

Even that wouldn't appease the myopic fanboys who post here.

Can you just see the track crew in between each race laying out chalk lane markers for everyone to stay in until after the first turn ??
Like slot cars.

I get all fair in love and war, but a little early to be doing that right?

In all seriousness, the move over was necessary and is a part of racing. I just believe that once the position was made a little extra braking was done to bunch that inside up. Thats a real pro move, that people are missing.

I am not crying foul. It is a part of racing, just an observation.
Should he have went wide and conceded the inside line of the first turn to the racers behind him?

Not sure if he is joking or not but Mosiman is claiming it’s his fault. Last 2 minutes of the press conference.

Finishing 2nd in supercross and 3rd outdoors last year wasn’t enough? That’s pretty damn good if you’re asking me.

Finished top 10 in combined points last year. Same goes for Shimoda.

He’s not joking because that’s exactly what happened; Mosiman got the best jump and swept across, as he can with track position. Hunter also had a good jump, but not as good as Mosiman, so he moves further inside as Mosiman comes across, as he can with track position.
Craig and others on the inside don’t get a good enough jump and are squeezed as Mosiman and Hunter sweep inside. Craig doesn’t back out of it and moves tight inside as if no one’s there and is hit inside by Blose and across into Schimoda etc.
Craig’s initial contact with the back of Hunter is minimal. If you hit the back of someone, who has the track position? Craig cut inside even harder than Mosiman and Hunter did. If he’d backed out of it instead, would there have been a pileup?

You can say Mosiman caused it, you can say Hunter caused it, you can say Craig caused it, but at the end of the day It’s just a racing incident, nothing more, and it’s not the first or last time we’ll see it.

You are correct on almost all of what you said.

Craig was on the binders hard trying to whoa up. Go back and look about 20 feet before this photo you shared. Lawrence shut off early because of Mosiman and went the first turn on the binders really early. He had every right. But ultimately, Lawrence still caused the wreck. Lawrence didn’t have to go that slow into the inside. He knew what he was doing.

Look, Mosiman did what he had to do and so did Hunter. It’s certainly not the first, nor the last and it’s is absolutely racing. It is great racing and I am sure Christian will now be a bit more “ready”. Can’t wait until next weekend!

Not a fan of his podium interviews lately. People like the Lawrence brothers for their personality, then he comes up on the podium finishing second and is pissed off like a toddler. That's the antithesis to his popularity. Anyone outside of the top ten would probably be willing to literally blow a hobo to have his abilities. He's losing his grounding.

Yup. Exactly. This is just before Hunter goes harder left and on the brakes. He didn’t have to, Mosiman isn’t chopping him down. Blose runs right into the back of Christian as Hunter slows the inside pack up. Guarantee you, nobody on the inside expected to slow up that soon. Hunter slowed the inside up.

Thanks for the picture. Some reason when I take a screen shot, it’s just black.

This is exactly the same reason that made jalek swoll got the Horizon award and not Jett or shimoda........and thats exactly why América has been loosing all international races as a country since 2011.......patriotism can be a very bad thing when used wrong.....

From what I saw Hunter veered left on purpose and cleaned out the whole inside pack. But looks like our opinion is the minority. He had half a bike length up so that’s ok they are arguing.

Mosiman is clearly leading the pack into the turn, has pinched off everyone to his inside (moved over significantly) , admitted at the press conference he caused it, seriously what more do you need to see? His line is middle gate to inside apex/ tuff block.

The knock on effect is Hunter moves over, the next rider in line gets pinched and chaos ensues.

Next do we blame Blose for not shutting off and giving Craig enough room?

If u have a wheel on a guy on a start u have control of the corner. You get to ride in a straight line to the corner. If that means your going across other riders. They have to shut of.
Just don't be like prado.
