Is PPG a personal sponsor of his? I thought it was one of Kawasaki's sponsors, but he still has the logo on his jersey.

Kind of an odd personal sponsor, IMO.
As I guy affiliated with PPG, it not odd. You would shit if you saw how many 'odd' groups they back.

One the reasons I left BASF for them. Seriously.

I would have loved to see some long sequence unedited shots. That video is sooo notchy it gave me a headache as I was trying to study. Even slow mow would have been acceptable. But the short frames and sped up had me constantly trying to catch up.

It's a D'Cor Visual thing.

Looks like dog shit. Does not look factory, guess they do it to save weight / graphic company saves material. So many panels only have 1/3 to 1/2 of actually any graphic on it.

Have you ever ridden bike? Boots will destroy numbers if they come too far forward so this will prevent that happening also. Looks great btw. We all dont want old steel frame bike with silver wheels.

I agree it looks stupid, but I trim mine more or less like this cause my boots rip them to shreds almost instantly

Yamaha will make the bike any color you want if you write a big enough check. Until then, looks like Monster gets to pick the color.

Even if they went to the blue front end, flipped the shroud colors with black lines going through the shroud and kept the black back end it would be a massive step up. It’s factory Yamaha for crying out loud.

I'm a huge Eli fan but JA's intro vid was much more impressive. Hopefully he can get the bike to work for him.

Imagine him with a can of paint of the podium instead of a Monster Energy drink. Grinning

Key person at PPG is a Tomac family friend. PPG also supplies many race teams with free paint for the Race Trailer/Truck's paint jobs to help offset the costs of a $70,000+ paint job and in turn promote the paint brand on the rigs traveling the nation.
As I recall, Brett Downey’s (who was a top amateur racer and great friend of the Tomacs until he passed away riding) father Jim is a head honcho at PPG and is in a position to give back to the sport.
He also founded the Brett Downey Safety Foundation to share best practices to improve amateur racer safety.

If Eli had his way there would be no intro Vid.

That's what I said. If he had it his way you wouldn't see him ride that thing until Anaheim 1.

Dear Yamaha,

I just moved from Franklin to Old Hickory. Cool to see someone else from the area. Not many of us around.

Sorry to see you go! Indeed, good to see another Tennessean on the board.
