I do this when I’m trying to fall asleep, try to think of tracks and off road races I’ve done and how the track/course goes. Or even tracks I haven’t raced like red bud or unadilla that we’ve all been watching forever. A lot of times going through tracks I rode out in the middle of nowhere as a kid will help me doze off. Also specific trails are relaxing to revisit while I’m trying to get myself to sleep.

Lame topic maybe. Off season. Bring back the US Open.

Basically anything on the NESC circuit, even though I haven’t really raced it in years. I used to visualize laps going to bed the night(s) before a race, morning of, and on the line. Hell I can practically tell you which trees need to be trimmed at southwick.

Road racing I can do Daytona, PBIR and Homestead.

MX I can do all of the tracks in my youth

Of present day, most any track I have been to. GH, Steel City, Muddy Creek, LL's

Even though I never raced those, I've either walked them or been close enough to get it

BTW, I too have done it as a means to fall asleep, you're not alone there

Budds Creek and Southwick. They don't change the layout much because the tracks are already perfect.

Field of Dreams and Englishtown. They mix up the layout, but I ride there a lot.

I do the same thing to fall asleep.
I try to visualize riding our trail loop. It is about 5 miles. I rarely make the whole loop before falling to sleep.

They change all the current tracks too much for that. I can still remember the layout that Barona Oaks had for my first race, though. That was in 1985. Wow....

For sure Mammoth. It’s only changed a handful of times and only once since I’ve been riding it the last 25 yrs or so. I like to row a C2 watching full moto go pro footie

Maybe I'm weird but I can remember every track I've ever rode down to the T. When it comes to the tracks I've only watched racing on it's a different story though.

All of the tracks I raced or have ridden at more then once. Most notably ‘98-2000 Kenworthy’s.

Ive never ridden hangtown, but if I wanted to fall asleep, that’s the track I’d envision.

Gonna have to try this “remembering a track to fall asleep”.
Sounds way better than Imagining Al Gore droning on in a monotonous tone.

Pretty much every track I've raced in the last 15 years. I will often replay a moto in my head while on the rower. Try to time my workout finish with the last lap. I almost always win in my head. Lots of hole shots too.

The old Puyallup, Washington Trans AMA track. That's where I started racing MX in 73' and although it was a dump truck track it burnished in my memory banks forever since I never missed a race there before they closed. They also had night racing there too on a shortened track.

Almost any track I have ever ridden or raced and that is a lot of tracks in many states over a span of 50 years. Even different versions of the same track.

I can visualize riding almost all of the tracks I've ridden, and quite a few I haven't yet.
I've ridden Glen Helen many times in my mind. Hoping to hit the actual track one day soon.
For some reason I'm able to translate watching a race into the first person perspective.
I really enjoy watching GoPro footage, especially the full Nationals.
