Anyway, I'm sure Brian has told his son that there will be a lot of haters.

With that being said, I will concede that the YouTuber mentality, the thumbnails, and a family that seemingly can't do anything without having a camera pointed at them can be a bit annoying for people who don't live in their cellphones, but shitting on a kid is just tacky, regardless.

The thumbnails and constant posting of videos really is critical on Youtube if you want to maintain a presence there. You can find yourself sinking into obscurity very quickly there if you don't play the game and keep up to date.

The kid is legit. Some fans like more outgoing personalities (such as JS7 back in the day) or some people like a more reserved personality such as RD5. You like what you like 🤷‍♂️ That also doesn’t mean you hate the other guy. You just root for one over the other.

I cannot possibly give enough props to this post… but not only riding motorcycles… any physical sport.

As the father of a 7 year old who was stuck inside from last fall til spring… the power/addiction of video games/youtube watching blindsided me.

I am trying to balance letting him find his own interests vs telling him… you cant do this or that. Reminding myself of how much my father absolutely hated motocross (for safety reasons) but still let me do it (on my own dime).

After 6 days of baseball a week since March and now day camp I am starting to recognize him again… the pre-pandemic kid who plays every game as hard as he can… vs the kid that looks and me and says… “I don’t wanna go outside.. I just want to play Minecraft.”

To be clear… I have nothing against video games… everything in moderation though.

It's so easy. No one likes a rich d-bag. And you think the kid would be where he is without daddy's money? No way. If my dad had millions in the bank and I didn't need to worry about anything but motocross for the next decade I'm pretty sure I would've been racing with Dungey every year. But not all of us have money. So that's the easy version of why people dislike him. And he's annoying and not entertaining. All the videos have shock value titles and click bait. It's childish.

It's not just the Deegans, he's pretty indiscriminate with his criticism of riders and accusations of cheating. Surprised more people didn't take notice when he was outed by Savatgy's dad in the Hunter Lawrence/Monster Energy thread.

I'm from the area Brian grew up in. I watched him race out of a van like the rest of us, the only difference was that he worked hard. His dad wasn't rich driving a motorhome all around the country all year round, he worked in the school system near us. They made the most of the summers.

There was no silver spoon and his post the other day says it all...he stated roughly 'i never had any of this stuff as a kid' in reference to Haiden's sweet new supermini.

Unhappy people will talk trash about anyone. I personally think that the only losers in amateur racing are the dads that push too much, yelling and screaming and forgetting the point. This is not them at all...not even close.

“If I had this I could have been that” is such a pathetic argument. You don’t have the talent and ambition to be a top tier professional athlete. Nothing more and nothing less. These guys (the champions and legends, I’m not talking about a guy who qualified for a few nationals) have such a level of determination and grit about them that they would have been successful in any other job they had chosen. If your dad had the money to fund your racing to a higher level then maybe you would have qualified for some nationals. Maybe you would have been a little bit better of a rider than you are. But your dads money would not have taken you over the hump of “really good” and “great.” Dungey was great. The fact that you honestly think you could have been at Dungeys level is absolutely laughable.

As I made clear to anyone who reasons, not feels, my beef is with a father who diminished his 7 year old son by cheating on his behalf and then threw him under the bus by having him, on social media blame a fictitious stand in mechanic who happened to fit a fat top end that just happened to be with the race parts- and then sent goons to intimidate the guy who made the found protest.

Is that good, worthy, fatherly behaviour?

Well I was going for my pro license and ran out of money because this sport is a money pit. And then the 12 month criteria expires and you have to start again. So yeah if I had more money I would have went pro.

This is not what he meant. I was also training sometimes on 125 and 250 to improve on 80, and honestly I think that helps especially on fast sections (to be more in control in 5th to 6th gear). That also helps to throw the bike around more easily in jumps and ruts.

Btw, when they got caught, he had like a 51cc (last bore on piston) in the 50cc class, it was bad but far to be as bad as some people may think. There must be much much worse around, but most people are not scrutinized as they are.

I think your post is a click bait, as a joke. Sarcam detector "on".

If not, feel free to explain why he has a million + subcribers if he is such a hated d-bag. Deegan will have the longest autograph line in the pits and will be heavily cheered for the next decade.

I also like that Reed and his kids are getting along well with them, it is a cool story and it is also enjoyable to continue to see Reedy.

Love to watch the kid ride, and also to see how tight the whole fam is. My only issue is the merch and shopdeegan that they're always promoting. I quit following their socials because of that. Once and a while is fine, but multiple times a week was too much for me. Your opinion may vary.

Life 101- Some pop out in africa and are fk'd from birth for any chance at a life like that, others pop out to deegan. The rest pop out where ever, see the danger boy vibe (click bait YT crap), choose to not like it, and that's alright. More than jealousy or whatever, I really just don't think adults care what 14 year olds are doing. When I was 12 I probably would have watched it. But when I was 12, I had the Mini Warriors series playing on VHS and milsaps was my hero. Couldn't rewind those things fast enough sometimes.
