Write a press release for BB4, just make it up

You cannot mention the team, any sponsors, KTM, the KTM Factory team, the RMATV team owner, management or it's employees. You cannot discuss any of the past with the team or the reason for your departure.

Let's hear it
A. Hey guys...been an interesting year! Got some things lined up and hope to be on the gate for the outdoors opener. Stay tuned for details!

B. Hey guys...been an interesting year! But 25 years of moto has been hard on my body and it's time to hang it up. Thanks for all the support.

Blake...create an account with BB4 in the username and reply with A or B. Thanks.

LMAO! I feel bad for some of you posters who think it's perfectly acceptable to just walk away without a word. You must have experienced a lot of that in life.

Again, whatever sense of entitlement that you feel is false…….

If you feel that entitled, I don’t think Baggett’s actions/inactions are the real problem.

I'm kinda blown away by a couple of the guys responses in here. Here I was thinking Blake's hard work his entire life, training, riding, suffering through brutal injuries was solely responsible for his success. Apparently I'm an integral part of that process and I'm owed a thank you

Not me, I couldn’t care less if Blake is out there. But there are a lot of people out there that bought BB4 gear that would maybe like SOMETHING from the guy. Anything.

But I really couldn’t care less, I hope he enjoys working with his non “famous father”.

I couldn't care less if he came out with a statement or not, but it is odd how star riders just disappear in this sport. Imagine an athlete of the same relative caliber in basketball, football, baseball, etc. retiring without so much as a word. Can't deny that it's a little weird.

The main reason that those other sports are ‘different’ is because they have vastly different rules on things like free agency, roster sizes, etc.

They also generally have pension programs that are dependent upon an athlete declaring their retirement status in order to begin the clock towards eligibility and such.

None of those things generally apply to professional MX/SX riders.

So you’re upset that someone doesn’t share if they are retired, and you’re upset that someone does share that they are retired……

Sounds like you just want to be upset.

I’m not upset at all. I just found it funny that EID is saying retirement messages are not owed to anyone but he felt strongly about it in some way to post his own “retirement” message. That is all

Obviously you are upset about it.

Dave announcing his retirement has zero to do with your entitlement issues.

Are you saying that because it isn’t a requirement, Dave had no right to inform anyone? Do you understand how silly your response really is?

Again, not upset at all my man. What I am saying is EID is calling people out for the exact same reason he felt compelled to deliver his message. Kind of hypocritical if you ask me. That is all, stop trying to put words in my mouth or tag me with feelings that don’t exist.

Stop trying to dodge your butthurt. You are obviously upset and it’s been festering for awhile it seems.

Dave offered information freely, not because it was required. There is nothing hypocritical in his actions or the opinions that he has expressed about Baggett’s situation. Dave has been very clear that it is up to Baggett to decide what he wants to say/reveal, just as it was for Dave. I can’t believe that this is a difficult concept to grasp.

It’s the same difficulty that is keeping you from grasping the fact that I am not upset...

Please carry on though

Dude killed it, won a championship, won at the 450 level and beat some of the best, left with bank and health and wife and family and back in business with the old man. Pretty nice mic drop. Happy retirement buddy-you did more than good.

I did that for the benefit of Engine Ice, not my fans, to let people know I am not longer a part.

Geeezus…

Dave opens the door WIDE OPEN & y’all missed an opportunity to beat him over the head with it!
Grinning

For those comparing Dave’s scenario(“retiring”) to Blake’s(“retiring”)? You’re absolutely right!
In both cases, there’s soooo much that can’t and won’t be talked about or discussed in public. Why?
It ain’t none of our business!
Which…also…has me LOLing.
Silly
I’m jus’ sayin’…

Ok. Checked the gram. Holy crap, his kid is like his twin, and the wife is beautiful.

I wouldn’t come back as a rider if I were him. Would rather enjoy some more family time, and work in the family biz.

As a fan, would love to have him back racing, but what would he be then? Podium guy, or 5-10? 10-15?
