As others have mentioned, 110f in dry cali isn't such a big deal until you stop moving.

I've ridden red bud and Indiana sand tracks close by in high humidity and it feels much worse

when I was younger - we rode out in Victorville/Bell Mtn and it would get 100+ But now that I am old mid 90’s is about it. Rode this morning at Pats Acres 8 am - 11. They close at 12 today and tomorrow due to heat.

I used to pride myself on pounding laps on sand tracks in the brutal heat. 90”s with high humidity, we don’t get into the 100”s here much in NY, but the humidity sucks the life out of you. A few years ago, I mountain biked for about 3 hrs at a high heart rate, for most of the ride ,in the high 90”s. I must have had heat exhaustion, as it took several weeks for me to recover....I still ride in the heat.... but pay more attention to recovery now....

Millville 98 degrees with about 85+% humidity. Couldn't breathe, I grew up in NoCal and had ridden in 105 at Marysville ... it was almost impossible to finish.

I just got home from a 60 mile ride in the hills, by my house. I rode from Santa Clarita, to Lake Hughes, had lunch and then rode home. No stopping, except for lunch. It was 104 at the peak of the ride…

I’m not too crazy about it, but I figured I’d get use to it, since it’s going to be even hotter in Idaho next week. I’m heading out on Monday, to stay at Gold Creek Lodge. We are staying for a week and riding 3 days and then some fun on the lake…
It is suppose to be between 100-108 all week, I’m not too happy about that part, but I will still enjoy getting out of town !

I’ve been at Glen Helen for those 110+ days, and they are nothing compared to 100 at Budd’s Creek. The humidity and heat just sits in that valley. I just run the AC and sit in my truck between motos.

Used to get to the trailhead at 5:30am during summertime when I live in Lake Havasu and it was already hot. Got back to the truck and it was 110 by 9:00. Rode at canyon Mx in Peoria a couple times in the 110s. But…nothing was ever worse than 2.5 hours into a harescramble in Michigan when it’s 95 and humid as eff. Humidity>Heat

Ridden in 110+ more times than I can count in Az and CA, but the LL regional at WWMX in 2018 was the hottest I've ever felt. Was only high 90s I think but about 95% humidity. Miserable

1979 Carlsbad USGP, the year that Mike Bell pulled off the track while leading the first 500 moto, suffering from heat exhaustion. While our dear friend (RIP, Mike Bell) was recovering in the hospital, I was dishing out a can of whoopass on Bobby M in the 250 Support Class, finishing 5th, despite missing a shift and going over the bars (photo below).

What I remember about that day was the 110° heat and it was my 21st birthday. My mechanic, Tim Buck, surprised me with this sticker on my tank on the starting line for the first moto. He'd gotten it signed by a bunch of people during the week before the race

It was a pretty stacked field and I was stoked to beat a few factory guys, despite that missed shift endo. I think overall it was Barnett, Ward, Gibson, Reid, me, Gillman, Myerscough...fuck, I dunno, it was the seventies!

We live in Nor-Cal. We’ll ride if it’s 100 or so but we’re looking at 113 today and tomorrow. It’s a rest weekend! If you’re up before the sun comes up and it’s 85 already you know it’s going to be a tough day... There really is a noticeable difference between 100 and 113.
112 is my limit for doing anything voluntary outside. I’ve spent a couple 120+ days at Lake Havasu and it’s pretty hard to do much more than walk to the water for a useless dip let alone launch a boat. Anything in the teens. No thank you!

Classic. And I'm good, thanks.

As for the highest temps I rode in, it was probably 90°F-100°F+ east coast humidity. It wasn't exactly pleasant. I don't really mind the heat, but the humidity is what kills.

When it's not even 10am and you're already sweating your ass off, you know it's going to be a long day.

Lots of crazy heat out there!! I guess my high was likely at Hollister GP one summer in the 110 range. But like many have said, 110 in CA ain't sh!t compared to 100 in Buds Creek or High Point or Southwick.

And like many, now that I am old I want perfectly groomed, 75F, a light breeze and shade to park in. I don't do ANYTHING in crappy weather anymore. Ski, fish, ride, golf, nothing if it's not nice weather for it.

Just saw 109 on the truck here in the Portland area. Some moron was out jogging in it. Sheesh. I got a cold beverage in my hand. Sure wish there was some moto on TV.

Regularly 90, 95, real feel 100+ and 90% humidity here in Maryland/West Virginia, Pa
Need scuba gear to get through the air
But on a serious note if you’re not wearing fly mesh on this heat you’re crazy

I did a 2 hour harescramble race and, if I remember right, the temperature peaked at 104 that day. I don’t know if I was riding at the time of the day or not. All I remember is that it was my first harescramble race, that I hate harescramble races, I was on a 2004 YZ450f, and that I threw up and about passed out when I was done.

With that being said, the more hot and humid it is, the better I race. I’ve no explanation for it.

Now they are saying 115 tomorrow AND Monday at work in Hillsboro. I run a large scale data center that is designed to function with 108F outside air temps but not 115F. I've got about 10 megawatts of critical load (call it 3 supercross track size data halls full of servers and such) and over 30 large HVAC systems on the roof to cool it all.

I don't know if the site can take this. I guess we will see. This is a business-critical site for a very large company and it's loss to an overheating event would run in the 10s of millions a day.

It's fun to talk smack about how hot it is when we ride, but in the real world this is a serious issue right now. I hope my weekend doesn't go to shit, and that I still have a job Tuesday.

Love that area. We used to leave from Main Lodge Mammoth ride to the Tiger Bar in June Lake ride to Lee Vining only using about 5 miles of the 395 to that point the rest all back country, then we go around Mono, head to Virginia Lakes Resort, catch an Alper for dinner that feeds everybody- stay in one of the historic fishing cabins. Head to look out over Cavanaugh Ridge then ride through Bodie on the way to Aurora and Masonic eat lunch by the graveyard, then go to Bridgeport. Next day trailer our bikes a few more miles past Bridgeport on the 395 to a certain 50 MPH sign that gives you access to a system of roads that will take you to Nevada and beyond, we follow it to the top of Mt Patterson and sign the register. We call it the “High Sierra 250 with Wes Rood and the Desert Dudes” It’s the ride that got me back into Racing MX after breaking my neck 20 years prior at one of those CRC Anahiem Amateur SX’s and having to wear a halo brace for 5 weeks

I don't know about you guys but I'll take the heat everyday over the cold. I'd rather it be 110 than 40.

Damn Hammer!! and I'm worried about our site in Norco, with only 10 tons of cooling for our MDF with 4 racks in it lol and only 12 servers.

Baby stuff to what you mentioned lol.
