Sure looks like that's what we're in for... Expect Barcia and Plessinger to get after it.

For what it's worth I have raced there and ran practice at 9am in soupy mud and by the time moto 2s came around, it was rough but pretty normal. That was for an Am race, so figure the pro races, they till it deep and it should shape up.. Unless it pours all day tomorrow until race time, my guess is it might actually be pretty good later in the day. The dirt at that track is really weird.

There's VERY little level ground at High Point, with all those hills, the rain can runoff pretty effectively . Depending on the actual forecast of when the rains are coming, Davey may roll and pack the hills then disc after the rain stops . But as AH said above ,I've raced there in the past where it was virtually impossible to get around during practice and by the 2nd moto's they needed the water truck. Its not his first rodeo, he'll figure out the best course of action I'm very confident of that.

Newest forecast says dry Friday and rain Sat morning. It's been dry all week so the ground should take it. I would expect some isolated t-storms not a long soaker. I bet it will be fine for the motos.

Hope this is what we see…. But it’s moto, and I bet we’re all going to have fun watching it either way.

I hope they don't till the crap out of it, it will become a rut fest. High Point is pretty much a hard pack track and they should just go with it instead of trying to make it into something it isn't. I loved the prep at Colorado and I hope they follow suit.

Not really bro. The High Point clay is in a realm of it's own. You asked I answered.

One website says 30-50% chance from 2 am through 7 pm. Another says 55-80% chance all day with 1 inch expected

The day before this was bone dry. I might've done better on a superjet.

I live an hour away and it has done nothing but rain all week. Today was actually the first dry day since Sunday that it didn't rain.
I believe it was Sunday, Morgantown, just 15 minutes from the track had flash floods and many streets that has never flooded looked like a river with may people caught off guard. Here is a link to the news story that calls it a 100 year storm.

My bad. I'm a couple hours north and this is the first dry week we've had in a while, I thought it was the same down there.

I still wouldn't be surprised if the showers very were scattered saturday. Sunday is showing a high of 84, generally sustained rains are followed by high pressure and lower Temps. High Temps are ripe for short and strong storms.

AM storms, mid 80s temps, 75 humidity. Occasional afternoon TStorms.

The track will drain the morning rain. The late rain will be a non issue....the humidity will make 82* feel like 92*

Its high point. Corners will rut deep AF, corner exits will blue groove by 2nd motos.

We were there spectating one year when thunderstorms came thru during the motos. Think it had raining before that to. There were rivers running down the hills. People were mud surfing on their bellies, I'll have to say it was a heck of a party. If I remember correctly RC had to take several attempts getting up a hill. Maybe DV got the 250 OA. Kelly Smith got the overall in the 125s. After the races parts of the parking lot looked like a mud run. Memory is a little foggy on that weekend, did have an absolutely great time though, sure of that.

I was there for that as well. I was probably about 10-12 years old. My dad and I stayed in a tent that weekend Laughing I remember thinking we were gonna blow away. Campers and cars were swamped all over. I remember tractors pulling people out while my dad hooked tires chains up to his 2WD Silverado and crawled right out Laughing

Good times, that’s for sure.

I hope and personally think it is going to be perfect. Hopefully the temperature is as cool as it was yesterday. It was the perfect temperature for standing in a field jumping around.

Was there that day! What a good time. The mud made the riders look like amateurs. Me and my buddies were sitting on the side of the track on the hill leading to the doubles before the finish line, there was one rut all the way from the bottom of the hill to the top, if a rider would pop out of the rut, they would have to turn around on the track and make another run at it.. Glad i had a 4x4 truck to get out of there that day! Alot of great memories from races at Mt. Morris!

Colorado was not "prepped" to turn out like it did. They ripped and watered the piss out of it. Strong overnight winds dried it out. Lots of fans preferred the dry track. Heard a few riders making jokes about it. Did any riders say they liked it? My guess is the current chocolate cake generation of riders will get their way. Imagine the complaining if they threw a Orlyonok prep at them!
