Like, ever.....

Curious though - what does one wish to accomplish by starting a thread like this? Remember the old days when you had to drive across town to your local shop (unless it was Sunday or Monday), flip thru a catalog, maybe find the part you needed, but probably not in what brand you wanted, ordered it, then waited weeks for it to show up at said shop? Then drive your happy ass back across town to pick up parts and cross your fingers on the way there hoping they didnt order the wrong thing? I will gladly wait an extra few days to not have to deal with any of that shit.

Yup! 1st World Problems, indeed.

In 1991 I saw things that made me realize how good we've got it over here. We live in a world of people that have NEVER had "real problems"; so, ya get what we have here...

Which is the way he wants it.
Well, he gets it.

Maybe call Motosport and address the problem like a man should instead of calling your Mom,the local news paper, and vital to complain?

In these times of stuff taking months for delivery, you’re bitching about a week?

Hope you get better soon.

Of course the OP should start with Motosport. Do you/we know that he didn't?

Also, maybe stop trying to equate everything to masculinity. It just makes you look like you have an inferiority complex.

This is kind of the new normal. We sell Ford parts online and shipping has been an issue for over a year. USPS and FedEx have been terrible at getting packages out to consumers. We shipped a package from Michigan to Memphis on 5/27 USPS Priority mail and it still has not arrived to the customer. I ordered a new bicycle and it took 14 days to get from Boise Id, to Grand Rapids Michigan via FedEx.

2 factors are at play in most of the free word

1. People are getting paid to stay home and are doing just that. There are businesses all over that cannot get people to come back to work due to the extra $300.00 a week unemployment benefits.

2. Package carriers are overloaded with people buying on line. They are having the same issues as everyone else. Social distancing, people not showing up or showing up with Covid. They just simply cannot keep up with the demand.

It is a crazy time to be in the online marketplace. Show a little grace, companies are doing the best they can, there is just a lot stacked against them right now.

Fedex Ground is garbage and has been garbage for years it's not a covid thing. It's the shipper's fault for using them as a carrier.

I think you should go to your local dealership and pitch a fit about it to them. They might offer some insight.

Thats nothing bro. Wait till USPS gets ahold of your package and it sits in a random facility for 2 weeks.

On a serious note every company is struggling because nobody wants to work and everyone is understaffed. Its affecting every supplier of every industry.
No shit. I’ve had stuff from USPS show it was at the local hub so I think cool, it’ll be here tomorrow. Then it leaves and goes to 2 or 3 different states before finally coming back. Laughing

Maybe try to toughen up a little if you can't handle a little "manhood" talk....used to be a good thing to be manly.

Have a good USPS story. I ordered my wife a Christmas gift around December 10th. Shipping was from Virginia to New Jersey(150 miles or so). The package wound up in Hawaii! Came back across the Pacific, across the USA to my door step on Christmas Eve Laughing

Everybody is saying "nobody wants to work," yet doesn't want to look at the actual supply and demand. I work in the auto industry and by all accounts things are good. Vehicles are more profitable, we're servicing more cars than a year ago, I'm buying more parts than ever. We have less techs than we had a year ago as well. I'm grossing roughly 40K a month in parts profit, yet my bosses complain they can't find a good tech to hire.

You want to know why? Because they don't want to pay what a good mechanic costs. It's a two way street. If you own a business and it's more lucrative for someone to sit at home than to come work for you, that's not a worker problem, that's an employer problem. For industries like moto and auto, everyone has enjoyed making more money with less expenses over the last year. Now they want to keep making the same money and see how thin they can stretch their employees.

Same thing happening at my job they don't want to pay enough for people to not get off unemployment. We have record sales too but can't get anyone to come in.

Exactly this above. It's not a worker problem, it's a fair pay problem.

Why would they want that?

Honestly, what's the end game there?

The government wants people to be more and more dependent on them. Less and less work. More businesses go out of business, because people would rather just collect unemployment. Tax contributions become smaller and smaller as the workforce decreases. Eventually the only people paying taxes are the ones who are well off, everyone else is on the dole.

So eventually, the rich and super rich are the only ones paying taxes and supporting all the unemployed AND paying them more than they wanted to when they still had their businesses.

Sure does seem cheaper and smarter long term just to pay the people more and collect a higher dollar amount of taxes per person because they're making more money, doesn't it?

That's almost irrelevant to the crux of the question though. If the government wants more and more people to be dependent on it, what's the end game look like?

Why?

How?

It's a ridiculous assertion. Not to mention the multiple instances of businesses getting inundated with applications once they increase their wages. Business owners all want to pretend they understand supply and demand until it comes time to apply it to their workforce.
