I'm a little surprised the only bike he could get through Bro Show was an Enduro tanked wide ratio bike.

Anybody have any insight on this?

They couldn't get him an mx race bike, even bone stock? Barcia is the only rider on a factory gasgas but they couldn't pull together another bike?

There's a Canadian GasGas Team; so, why aren't we asking why he didn't get his bike from them? Grinning

I think Tyler's sponsored by a shop at home and most of his racing this year is/will be off-road...? He's racing the US on his own dime.

I think he has plans to race Southwick and Mt Morris.

I'm not sure why he couldn't get an MX model. He did put an 19" rear wheel on it with his suspension, so it's not like it was completely stock.

That said, the wide ratio tranny wasnt ideal.

Bad starts, crashes put him back, but he charged his way into the points, so it wasn't all bad. I think he's capable of more than what it showed on paper.

He does want to race some more US nationals, so hopefully he can have his own bike on the east coast.

I think he's trying to hit Thunder Valley.

Yup - a small town, nar, practically a back woods SkiDoo/BRP-now-some-bikes-too shop that I am sitting a half hour away from. They've been getting into some X Games stuff too, via Heath Frisby & a couple others. Mitch Cooke being one. Which is all pretty damned cool IMO.

Was it a 350 or a 450?

Big tank, wide ratio tranny....bolted a few things on and is in the points....kinda makes it look like its more rider than bike and some dudes whining about "set up" need to take a look in the mirror.... Tongue

Way to go T-Dags!

450 XC/EX/FX doesn't have the wide ratio trans. Only 250, 350 and 2 strokes do for some reason.

Nothing wrong with a wide ratio outdoors with 450 power.

He was on a 450.

Not racing Thunder Valley, but will race High Point. Going to have his race bike for that round.

He killed it on that thing. It’s so cool to see people from all over the world racing the nationals. It was awesome to see Lupino out there as well

He’s listed as riding an MC450F.

If he were riding an EX450F, wouldn’t he be riding an illegal bike that isn’t homologated? The cross country bike isn’t on the approved equipment list.....

T-Dags and Ryan Surratt were for sure the ones with the most stock bikes and both scored points. Ryan finished 17-20 on a 2nd hand stock husky, stock pipe, everything, he was going ride the stock suspension too but AEO was able to finish his set on time for the race, he bolted on his revalved air forks Friday evening and tried them for practice.

I hope Tyler is going to race some more outdoors than High Points and Southwick! I’m sure later on the season he would be close to top10!

Only adds to the urban legend bro...was he or wasn't he....we'll never know....

Dude scored points on a bike that can pass a smog test! Laughing

The good news is now he knows he can just ship 1 bike to Italy and use it for both MXdN and ISDE!

The 2021 GasGas EX450F does NOT have a wide ratio transmission. The EX450F shares the exact same engine as the MC450f. Thought I was gonna lose my mind if I heard Matthes mention Medaglia was on a "wide ratio" bike one more time on monday night lol

That's what i was thinking too. I ride a TX300 which is also not a wide ratio transmission. Doesn't it have an extra gear though? I honestly haven't even tried to go past 5th on mine haha!

Good god thank you. I’m old and slow but on the Husky side I didn’t even want to ride an FX because it was like riding an FC with a kick stand. If he would have shown up with a true wide ratio bike with a head light that would have been another story. Don’t get me wrong, he rode his ass off with a stock bike but it wasn't a green sticker legal bike.
