If i had that many absences from work i'd be in a different industry.
So.... your life is on the line every day at work? And if you get hurt for a long period they stop paying you? You might wanna try a different line of work....

I think Steve brings a lot to the sport. I am thankful for the news and content he puts out. But that being said, I think he’s a narcissist. The interruptions and his little spew on “no one should report on the races if they aren’t there” makes me lose respect for the guy. Turn on the news/espn Sunday night in the fall. Do you think all those reporters who are giving the run down of the football games were at each said game? Stop being a douche Steve, you have a good thing going on your own. Don’t worry about the others and let them share their ideas on what happened even if they aren’t in the stadium.

^^^ If Steve truly thinks that, no offense to him, but that's pretty fucking stupid.

If everyone who has a podcast, blog, etc. had to attend an F1, NASCAR, IndyCar, MotoGP, MLB, NHL, NFL, NBA, UFC, etc. event in person in order to report the events, there would not be much content out there in internet land for people to watch and/or read.

I watched a handful of his earlier ones and the people he interviewed couldn't get a word in.

If he's improved that then great, but if he still has to cup the balls and bro down with the people then still not for me.

Would he gain followers or lose them if he stopped talking like a spud?

I don't know how you can compare any of the podcasts. Gypsy is more 1 on 1 interviews with more current industry guys. Pulp is a live weekly 5 hour show, recapping, and looking ahead, as well as guests and callers. Whiskey is kind of in the middle. It's not a fair comparison on shows one against another

Im thinking what about the money you have already made. Titles, bonus, etc. In any walk of life you should have savings. Especially racing. Kinda scary.

Whiskey is a shit-show because of that reason.
One of the last whiskey shows i was sitting thinking "shut the f#^k up and let him talk" both GL and Ping talking over the guest and trying to get their joke across. There is an art form to a conversation and ping and GL need to do some work.

Gypsy tales guy gets to it straight up. He is raw dogging it with all the people. They reciprocate. They like it. They are sometimes trapped by corporate culture, they let loose with gypsy tales.

No offense but if you have been even halfway paying attention in the past 10 years have you not noticed that the YZ250F wins a lot and is universally liked, while the 450 has not won much and does not have the greatest reputation? Not the same. So what Cole is saying about his bike is quite a bit different than what AP is talking about. Plus, Star has been working with the 250F for quite a while now and this is only the first year taking on the 450, so that also would factor in. I think it's very clear by the interviews that Star is willing to work with the riders and do what they need to get the bikes working for the riders. The Factory 450 team seemed a lot harder to work with. Even so, it sounds like AP still isn't 100% in love with the Star 450 but it does seem much improved, at least.

Is it me or does AP kinda have odd timing and a creepy laugh/giggle. I feel like dude is baked during every interview, or he's kinda inarticulate?...or both. Don't get me wrong he's paid to ride and he is certainly not the worst interview, it was actually really good, but man it was hard to listen to at times...

As AP said, he doesn't know where in the chain things fall apart, but they do somewhere. It seems like Factory Yamaha and to a certain extent Kawasaki are stuck in their ways. Honda and the Austrians seem to be willing to please the rider more.
If you listen to weege’s mx press conference Kenny does not sound too happy with Honda and there willingness to try new settings...
