The way star sees it is that their main rival is getting the benefit of restarting for a mistake he made, indirectly of course but it still stands. If there was no red flag, he would’ve finished around last.

And it isn’t his fault, this is all on the AMA and the pressure is on them to look into their rule book and make ruling for this (which odds are won’t happen)
I understand where you're coming from. Trust me, I'm a diehard team green (former pro circuit support) rider so my opinion is a bit biased. The only thing that irked me was Cooper's post-race comments. If it wasn't for that, I would have no grudge.

Cooper is a fantastic rider and a legitimate champion, but I really, really didn't like his comments. That to me sounded pansy and pathetic. He should have congratulated Cam on his hard fought podium and walked away knowing this series is most likely his.

I can see both sides, nothing against you personally but on race night I tend to get worked up especially when my old team is involved.

Here is my issue.
The other racers covered more ground than Cam. If Cam was granted a restart then Mumford should've been granted a restart too.
In the future a racer will intentionally block the track, fake hurt, cause a red flag, and restart to win the race.

If they crash as spectacularly as McAdoo did they fuckin earned it as far as I’m concerned.

I didn’t see anything wrong with Coopers podium speech. He’s been riding inconsistently lately and he was leading when the res flag came out. He was anxious on the restart and said so. We can slam him for lack of mental toughness but it was honest. Better than the bland typical podium speeches “hitting my marks” “ got a good start” stuff. Doesn’t detract from Macadoo heroics on restart for Cooper to be rattled by Macadoo showing up.

I get both arguments. One would think McAdoo shouldn't be able to race. But he did. and was an amazing ride. and it was purely due to the spot of the incident. and plus, it looked so much worse then how it ended up. super lucky.

No need for Cooper to sook about it on the podium after winning.

No one wanna talk about how Hunter crashed in the whoops first and was in 16th.
Red flagged saved his ass tonight for a 2nd place podium.

I agree it was lame for Cooper to say what he did. He needs to learn from Chase Sexton on how to act. I never liked Sexton much (not sure why), but after his podium speech at Atlanta 1, I'm becoming a Sexton fan.

Let’s stop every time some one has a scary crash and let them catch up.
That’s a great point. This example sets a precedent for an incident like this;

Say you fall in the 1st turn and think crap I really want that back. You can just lay there and act injured like you can’t move. Then after the race gets red flagged be like naa I’m good I can race let’s do this.

Not many “racers” in here... this rule has been in play for a long time in the amateurs. I thought it was also an AMA rule as well, but apparently not. So I’ll give Cooper a pass on his frustration. At least he’s not a robot up there...

As for McAdoo, he did nothing wrong and put in a great ride, after an ugly crash that could have ended his career, let alone his race. Pretty sure he’s going to have a tough time getting out of bed today ! Tough kid....

Interesting take from some of you. It isn’t Star being pathetic like you think. Nor is it Cooper complaining. The guy who won the race and extended his points lead literally said he didn’t know you could do that when he was asked in the podium.

I’ll guarantee you that when Macadoo came up to Cooper after the race Justin gave him props. Hell, I know I would have been in awe as well.
