I’d rather buy an ESR325 kit from Tony than take the chance sending anything to Terry.

I’d rather get a handy in a Wuhan stripclub than send my cylinder to Varner.

And your post says alot about you JD. How would you feel if you were still waiting for your engine 2 years later and have spent dozens of valuable hours calling, messaging, worrying, stressing and dealing with authorities trying to get your things back to no avail. If I was in your shoes I'd just consider myself lucky and keep my mouth shut.. Its mind boggling to me that you would say, "My advice is to go with Terry Varner you will not be disappointed." You either are a fanboy trying to score brownie points with him or were just paid by him to do some reputation damage cause noone in their right mind would recommended someone like this when you know for certain there are people waiting years to get their things back. WTF is wrong with you, that's like recommending a good restaurant that a bunch of people you know of just got food poisoning from but you didn't get sick personally so you write a good yelp review telling people to give it a try. Hey if they don't get hospitalized they will really enjoy it though right!

"As for the Brocal moto community" The 909 flat-billers is a small club, and you ain't in it I guess.
I'd consider that a win.

Dude, your post is LAUGHABLE at best , with the added bonus of being delusional. It’s more than a bit sad that you feel the need to defend someone who’s has continually committed “indefensible “ acts on paying customers.

Plus...... you’re waaaay too late to this party , LMFAO Laughing

Varner isn’t even worthy of cleaning Tom Morgan’s shop !!!!!

I sent my boy's KX85 motor to Max Power RPM (https://maxrpms.net/) in mid-December (of 2020!) for a full rebuild to their 105 stroker. I got it back Friday, a week early. We installed it over the weekend and it fired 3rd kick. Just heat cycled it so far so can't say how it really runs but it sounds crisp. Tim called me several times during the build, and was responsive and professional. So there are good shops out there.

The boy got a chance to ride this build over the weekend. If he can't win it won't be the fault of the motor, that's for sure. After 1 warmup session he went out and hammered on it and it's an animal. We put on a 8 oz FW weight and we are glad we did. Even with the 49 tooth rear it will loft the front end at will. It is very fast, and sounds awesome when he's on it. Pretty wide torque curve for a little bike. Now we will see if it eats clutches or anything. I upgraded to a Barnett basket with heavier springs, and a bigger radiator so that should help longevity. But, it's a race motor so there are no guarantees.

I’m glad this thread is up for all to see, unfortunately it wasn’t when I was deciding on who to have build my 125, sent Terry mine on Nov 27 2019 and now I can’t get the guy to answer or even return a call or text, haven’t spoke with him since Dec 3 2020.

I have followed this thread since the start. I have read good reviews and the horrible stories waiting 2 years. My thing is anything past 6 months to a year would have been addressed in person. No excuse for being blown off paid upfront. Good for those that had a good experience with varner. But don't feel sorry for those who received the run around. Stand up and take care of it yourself while be screwed around.

Exactly. If I were a part of that club, I’d kick my own ass.

I found a way around shipping an engine. Buy a bike with the porting done already. I wasn’t looking for a Varner engine, but I admit I am curious of how good they are. I,ve been looking for 04 or 06 cr125,s . All mine where stolen. I bought a 04 cr125 with a Varner engine, a lot of extras like a 09 factory showa shock, etc. I had a 04 cr125 ported by JM racing, that was a huge improvement over stock, super wide mid range that pulled to top end over rev. Bike has a keihen carb, but same pipe pc , vforce. If the engine is similar to a JM engine, I will be happy.

His side of the story? These guys paid in full up front and still didn't get their stuff for upwards of over 2 years. Explain to me where anything in his side of the story will explain that. Especially when he can easily be found at Glen Helen on a Saturday for REM or at the 2 Stroke World Championships hanging out with all his buddies.

Try again.

You're delusional. Someone posted above you their story about dealing with BBB and other assorted entities to get his motor back. Yet you come in here and post your story and start talking about receipts. Show yours. I've just seen you talk but no motor photos, no actual receipts. You say "email me for photos" nah, post em for everyone homeboy.

How do I know for sure you're not making your shit up?

I know for sure that while this thread was going going strong, Terry was out at Glen Helen with all his buddies making sure their bikes ran as well as they possibly could. I saw that with my own eyes. There are plenty of pictures from REM races with Terry working on all his buddies bikes while people on here were getting no response from him about their own motors.

You're not looking good. You're either Terry or someone that he asked to come on and defend him.

You’re one person. How many people didn’t get the service you received? Your experience does not dismiss the experience of others. If the negative reviews on Terry’s website were not true, why would the same person update this thread? You got what you paid for. Others didn’t. Also, people who are close to Terry have said they don’t understand what’s going on with him. Guess we’re all liars. Quit being such a gobbler and go ride your bike.

What's nice about this forum is we get to look out for each other and share our experiences. I think this thread was started to send out a warning to others to be careful and documented (for the time being) with Varner. This forum isn't gospel but you can't do this to customers and get away with it anymore. Good info

I'm guessing you didn't read the previous 28 pages of this thread. You must have some magic power that gets you ahead of everyone else here. You aren't getting any traction here bud, you're way too late. It isn't even about the quality of his work. That hasn't been disputed. It's the complete lack of communication.

Ok Douche, "listen to the words coming out of my mouf" -- Varner had PLENTY of opportunity to respond to these accusations over the past year--and he has not !! He is very aware of this thread and ,if memory serves, he even made a veiled threat to the OP to take this thread down or he'd never get his engine back ,or something along those lines.

The guy may have been good/great back in the day, but there are WAAAAAY too many complaints about him in recent years that indicate that he is transformed into a top-notch douchebag (probably why you are so happy with him, lmao) .

There is NEVER a good reason to not communicate with your customer --particularly when you already have paid in full or given a healthy deposit. Its just bullshit.

You say you were in business for yourself before--- did you ever take thousands of dollars of a customers money and then not give them the product or services ?? Or make them wait 2 years ?? and never communicate with them to explain the delay ?? Or did you, and thats why you're NOT in business any longer ?? LMAO

Yep, my words. Also, damn glad I didn’t. I’ll post pics of those “RECIPTS” when I figure out what a “RECIPT” is .
Read much?

You do realize that by putting a post up trying to defend him all it's doing is moving this thread back to the top where it's likely to be read? All you're doing is keeping it going. It'd pretty much fizzled out until you came in to shower Terry with praise. Just something to think about.

Anyone defending Varner is just as big of a piece of scum as terry. It’s insane how anyone could read through this and still defend him? You’re either blowing terry at Glen Helen on Saturday’s or you’re related or his shop bitch. This JD928 must have a mouthful of terry every weekend

We get it Terry, you delivered a couple engines on time. Good for you! Also, excellent job bumping this up to make sure everyone knows to never do business with you.
