What gets me is that tough block was laying there blocking the inside it was pretty much pushing then out there to the top of the berm. I don't really put that in Wackers. I do put the Jmart crash on Jmart. Why would he checkup right there?

Guys calm down and rewatch it! The guys in front of him and behind him were still racing hard. The medic ran right in front of him. Flags are as cheap as it gets! Give every flagger on the track a headset and every flag they could possibly need. That way when they call a restart the riders know ASAP not 4 turns and 2 straight always later. These guys are under extreme pressure to perform. Guy was just going what everyone around him was doing. Did he cut it a little close yeah but the majority of the responsibility is on the flaggers for not having the flags they need and the medic running on the track without looking.

Cooper went between the downed rider and the medic and McAdoo just tired to follow him. The medic ran in front of him, you all need to calm down. It was a genuine and simple mistake and not entirely his fault by any means. As far as those guys were concerned, they hadn’t passed a red flag and therefore they were going racing again as soon as they’d passed the incident. It was just an unfortunate incident, wasn’t McAdoo’s fault, just glad no one is badly injured

I really have no idea what that track personnel was thinking when he pushed guys TOWARDS the downed rider. He had one job there, put the tough block in front of the rider, stand in front of the tough block and push people to the right.

I am still amazed, in this day and age, with all the technology we have access to, a flag is still seen as an appropriate method to communicate with rider's going warp speed on a SX track.

SX is the only major motorsport in the world that allows medics on the race path. I don't know if they should/shouldn't but there's a reason fir that.. Give the guys a break.

Yeah, no idea where the flaggers were on the whole lane leading up to Martin in the corner. The lights were flashing on the triple and the whole rhythm lane previously and the red cross was waving right before the turn before the triple but there were no flaggers on the lane leading up to Martin.

Seems like flagging in general has been an issue this year.

I still can't get over the track crew pushing riders the direction he did.

The title of this thread and most of the first page were people asking for Mcadoo’s head because of what they “saw” I’m sure at some point in interviews you will hear Mcadoo discuss it....he didn’t do anything wrong the track workers did by the placement of the tuff block, by having the flagging at the beginning of the section and nowhere near the incident....rewatch the footage and you will see the medic with his back to the racers barely be avoided by Cooper and taking another step and slipping into Mcadoo’s path...there was nothing he could have done to avoid him...Mcadoo didn’t do anything morally wrong....

He was no doubt super nervous, got asked about something else and then was rushed so he only had time to thank people close to him..

I think the movement of the flag and also seeing the flag sorta grabs your attention. There may be other ways, but that doesn’t make them better. You are trying to get the attention of riders who are locked into the zone. That’s not easy to do. I think first a visual cue is necessary. So that rules out radio coms. And they won’t hear it in the heat of battle anyways. I don’t think anything flashing on the bar would work as they are looking forward. A light system around the track is an idea but I’m not sure that would get their attention. There are lots of things flashing around the track and in the stands already.

Sometimes the simplest method is also the best. A guy on the track waving a flag. It gets your attention.
