Got my old butt out of the recliner

Edited Date/Time 2/5/2021 2:01pm
Finally mustered up the balls to get my old 55 ass out on the track with the 43 year old bike. 1978 YZ100E. Man what a great time.

That's what I need to motivate my aging ass..... If I ever started to ride again, and I dearly want to, I'd love a really tame track to play on. Left all alone, nobody to watch over me, just let me do my thing. At one time, many years ago, this came easy to me. Now, not so much..... My brain still knows what to do, it's just the rest of me has trouble keeping up with what my head says to do. I applaud you bigtime, now I guess it's time for me to get my ass in gear, I want no regrets later on when I can't move at all.

Yeah I know what you mean. It was much more terrifying than it was when I was 15 years old. I went out there with the plan to just get comfortable and kind of putt around. Then the killer instinct took over after about lap 5 and I just wanted to better my lap times. Then get some decent air, then throw some roost in the corners etc. But you are right man. No regrets later in life when you can't do it.

I had both of my hips replaced 5 years ago and really thought that I would never be able to do this kind of stuff again.

I have that same jersey from 1980.

And the same body.

Ha.. shut up... Most of that is padding and a chest protector.... Some is natural padding though.

Except there's no way I can fit in it. I thought the dryer was shrinking my clothes. Turns out it was the refrigerator.

I am about to turn 55 in a few days. I have not ridden in many years. My son is playing tennis in college so I have time now.

Very cool! I’m 58, with additional padding also, and still enjoy getting out there on the old bikes. Keep it up

46 soon. I also have a 125 in dirt clothes, but this satisfies the need currently.

I remember the time I was on my DT100D and my friend passed me on his YZ100E like I was standing still. Great times.
